Clownfish

Joshua finished his first swim lessons. He did great he passed every area today except for one. We need to practice forward and backward glide unassisted with a kick, and he will be ready for the next class. :) He loved his teacher Ms. Robyn, she was great with him!
Ms. Robyn takes really good care of Joshua. He was really unsure but now he just chats with them and is brave enough to try new things. I loved to watch his trust grow with Ms. Robyn. It was also fun to see them play games and sing songs.

They even go to go to the deep end. In the deep end they get life jackets and practice safety. He was supposed to jump in, but needed a little help. :)
I am so proud of Joshua he is growing up so fast. He is such a little help around the house. I love to watch him learn and play. He is such an awesome little boy! Another big accomplishment is now he is diaper free completely. He has been potty trained during the day for over a year, but we still gave him a diaper at night. This week only underwear and he has done great!

Spoiled!

Michael spoiled me on my Birthday. We went to Wicked on Saturday. It was so fun to see it again. The boys got me an automatic shower cleaner. We are still in the testing stages to see if it works. On Sunday I had to teach and then we had a little gathering with our friends. The Gelista's made us this wonderful cake. It was beautfiul and delicious! Everyone brought delcious food and Michael grilled fajita meat it was so yummy and it was great to hang out with friends.
Michael and I in this picture are on our way to Wicked. Aunt Jenny stayed and watched the boys. They made her suffer outside in the heat. It was supposed to have a heat index of 106 on Saturday. When we got home she wasn't feeling well, too much sun. My boys love to be outside and enjoy being outdoors. I just keep them very hydrated! Thanks everyone for making my Birthday so special!
Joshua started swim lessons yesterday. He is doing great. He is so shy, but didn't cry or anything. Today he did bubbles and held on the wall and kicked. He seems to enjoy it, but at this age they will only do what he is comfortable with which is good and bad. He is so shy he won't say he wants to try something. Oh well, it is good for him to be away from me and learn to listen to someone else and meet new people. Dallin was a little sad that he couldn't do it too, but has a good time watching Joshua.

As a side note yesterday I was bathing the boys and Joshua was playing with his boat. He tells me "I am helping clean up the oil spill, then I will clean the birds." It is so crazy how much they pick up on. We haven't discussed the oil spill and it is on the news all the time but he is just getting so smart and putting things together. :) The other funny thing he said was when I was doing worksheets with him, I told him that when he gets a little older he will be doing more worksheets at school to which he replies "I won't get older." He doesn't hate worksheets or anything, but I just thought it was funny.

Happy Memorial Day!

We had a great day on Monday. We went to Flag Pole Hill and had a BBQ. It was so yummy. Our friends made delicious Shish kabobs. We found a perfect spot in the shade and even the playground was shaded.
They allowed the kids to check out the fire truck before the concert. They loved it. I couldn't get them to all look at me and pose, but they enjoyed talking to the fire fighters. They were shown the hoses and the siren. Some of them even got to speak on the radio.

We made balloon animals, played with bubbles and then it was time for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to play for us. It was wonderful, they did a great job. The kids loved it. The kids danced around and enjoyed themselves. After the concert there were fireworks. Joshua hates fireworks. Dallin I think would have been fine but since every other kid was crying he decided he wasn't sure about them either, so we left before the firework show was over. It worked out well, because then we beat everyone else out of there. All in all it was a wonderful way to celebrate Memorial Day and honor those who have gone before us, espcially those in the Military.
