Easter Weekend!

My cute kids are Easter morning.  We had a wonderful time. It is great to celebrate the Resurrection, and teach my children of Christ and how he died for us.

Jenny let Leah borrow her dress from when she was a little girl.  Leah loved it.

The kids got kites and enjoyed flying those.  They also got lots of candy.

On Saturday we went to the park for hot dogs and an Easter egg hunt.  We also did a nerf gun war while we were there.

The kids loved hunting and finding eggs.

Evan was just interested in playing on the slide.  He was making every stranger worry.  He loves to climb and go down the slide by himself.  He is actually really good at it and has never come close to falling off.

On Friday we worked in the yard.  The kids were a great help.  The boys were pretending to be Pa and Mr. Edwards.  We have been in a Little House on the Prairie kick lately.  I am loving that they love it.  :)

We did family pictures later on in the day on Friday.  Jessica was great to put up with us.  I'm hoping we did something she can work with.  :)

We also got our teeth checked out.  The kids are all cavity free!

Blue Bonnet Season!

Michael just got back from Arizona.  He brought back scorpion suckers for the kids.  Leah wasn't sure she wanted to eat it.

It is Blue Bonnet season again and per Texas tradition I tried to squeeze in a little picture.  The weather wasn't great.  It was really windy and then started to rain on us, but we got it in.  :)  Jessica has her hands full when she takes our family pictures next week.  It is hard to get everyone looking.  ha ha

Evan looks so tired.  He was not enjoying the wind.  He is walking all over the place now.  I  can't believe how big he is.

Joshua is busy with soccer and loves playing outside.  He is really enjoying reading.  He loves science and has been reading a quite a few tornado books.  He gets excited about storms.

Dallin is busy with soccer as well.  He is reading pretty good himself.  Dallin loves gym and art.  He got into an argument the other day with Joshua over when his hair would start falling out like Dads.  I had a good laugh listening to that conversation.
Leah is happy almost all of the time.  She is a great helper.  She loves to sing, and to color.

Race, Soccer, and Conference

We had a great weekend.  On Saturday the boys played thier first soccer games.  They did great!
Michael is the coach of Dallin's team.  It happened by accident, but he seems to be really enjoying it.  Dallin loves it.

Michael and Dallin's team is really good.  Michael had to try and explain to 4-5 year olds that they needed to slow down making goals.  The other team had a hard time getting into the game.

Joshua's coach is really working with them to start passing which is great.  Joshua team did great too.  Even though they don't keep score, Joshua will tell you they won 3-2.  I heard it was a great game.  I had a race that morning and couldn't make it.  I hate missing stuff!

I did the Fairview Half.  It was an awesome course with longhorns, alpacas, and horses.  They had pacers in 5 minute increments.  I loved not having to manage my own time.  Michael thought that it was really weird that I took a picture with the pacer.  I spent a good two hours with her and she really encouraged me, especially the last mile. I finished last out of the group that was trying to be sub 2:10.  ha ha She helped me get a new personal record of 2:07.  yeah!!

Jenny and Liz did great too!  It fun to have friends to run with!

After the race and soccer we got to relax and watch Conference.  I made cinnamon rolls and cookies.  It was a fun weekend!
