Merry Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas. We had a White Christmas! It was so amazing. It started to snow on Christmas Eve and stayed until the afternoon of Christmas. The boys got to play outside in the snow for a little while. It came at the perfect time, my sister Jenny flew out from a recent job interview in Dallas the day before the snow so it worked out perfectly. We had a good time visiting with Jenny and hope she gets to come and live down South with us!
The boys got their stockings first, where they each got matchbox cars and toothbrushes among other small things

We skyped with my family in Nevada. They got to watch the boys open presents and then we watched them open some. It felt just about as close as you can get to being home. It was fun. Thanks Jen for the web cam to make it all possible. We love our family so much and they helped make our Christmas great. Thanks to everyone who gave us gifts, we love and appreciated all of them.

The boys got a tent and tunnel this keeps them really busy they go around and around. Joshua even took his nap in the tent.

My boys got some really fun toys, lots of cars, tractors and things that go. They also got some really cute clothes!

I just had to show off my new table cloth and napkins. I love it! On Christmas day we had Uncle David and his family over for dinner. It was great! We really enjoyed spending time with them, and was glad the food turned out ok. :)

We hope everyone had a great Christmas, we sure did. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!

Christmas Decor

This the best picture I have taken of the boys in a long time together. They don't usually cooperate for me. They are even all cute and ready for Church. I love my boys so much. They are getting so big and so cute. I love how Dallin is talking more and Joshua is getting better at his alphabet. I love how they play so well together (most of the time). I feel so blessed!
Michael got in with the boys since they were somewhat cooperative with taking pictures on Sunday. I think Michael needs a sweater vest in this pictures. :) This is also the longest Michael has gone with a beard. What do you think, should he keep it or shave it off?
Michael put up the lights outside our house. He is very proud and feels like we aren't the only ones on the block without lights. He wants to put up more but we are lacking in extension cords. I think it looks good enough. The boys just like the lights.

What is better than taking a picture with Santa Claus?

A picture with a Police Officer!
He refused to go near Santa without Michael or I, but a police officer is safe. He chatted with the officer for a while. We are grateful for Policemen. That is my boy!We pretty much had to force this picture. The boys were terrified of Santa. This was at our neighborhood Christmas party. They provided a great lunch and fun games. We live in a great neighborhood.

Joshua's Birthday Cake

For the Grandparents, family, and friends who couldn't be here. We love and miss you!

Joshua's Birthday

Joshua had friends over in the morning. We just played and had a little lunch and cake. Joshua has wonderful friends who gave him wonderful things. He loved everything he received. He couldn't sleep because he just wanted to play with his new toys!

You can't really tell in this picture, but there is snow falling! Yeah for snow! It didn't last long but it was a fun gift.
Joshua received great gifts from his friends and family. We are so blessed to have so many great friends.

Michael really wanted to make the cake and decorate it. This is what it ended up looking like. He did a great job, and Joshua had a wonderful day.

Joshua also just had his three year well child check up. He is doing great and is an average three year old height and wieght. He is 37 1/2 inches tall and weighs 33 lbs.

Thanksgiving and the Day After

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We set up our Christmas tree, so we had something pretty to look at while we ate dinner. We had some friends over to eat with us. We had five cute boys running around. The food was so great! Everything turned out so good.
Needless to say after we got the tree up and looking just the way we wanted it, the boys stripped it of its ornaments and has knocked it down several times.
Dallin can strip the tree in a matter of seconds. I am not sure how he does it so fast. The tree has been in time out at least once and since then we haven't had to redo the whole thing.
The boys had a great time during Thanksgiving. They didn't eat that much, so we figure next year we will do it during their nap time so all of us adults can enjoy the meal. :) After we ate we watched football and played a little Mario Kart. We are so grateful for our family and friends who we missed dearly on Thanksgiving, we are also grateful to have friends over for Thanksgiving. We are very blessed!
Michael decided he would try out Black Friday shopping he went to Toys R Us first and was scared away by the thousands of people outside. He went back later in the morning and was able to pick up a few things. Meanwhile I went to a garage sale across the street and bought a wet vac for $2 and nice big chest for $2, a dresser for $20, and this beautiful oak table for $200. We scored big. Our neighbor is getting married and moving so she was really trying to get rid of everything. The tables has two leaves and can seat eight comfortably. Michael had to convince me to buy the table, but we won't find a better deal on an oak table than that. I have now moved our Formica table out to the garage and put the canner on it. It should work out great! We were also happy to have our friends help us rake our leaves and carry this table over on Friday. We are so blessed!

Bathroom Redone

We still have the finishing touches with paint, add a few pictures and stuff, but here is the before followed by the after. We had a lot of fun remodeling the bathroom and learned a lot. Thanks to our wonderful friends who did it for us and showed us how to do some things as well. We are loving it.

Halloween

Here is my little bee ready to go door to door. Who wouldn't give this kid some candy!
Joshua is all suited up as a racer. He loved going door to door. By the end he was telling people he was Lightning McQueen. He was even making his car noises for the neighbors. It went like this: "Trick or Treat... Thank you...VROOOOOOM" That is my boy!

Mark wanted to have a pumpkin carving and Halloween costume contest. He ended up winning both. He is looking good as a snow man and below is his pumpkin, where made his pumpkin smoking a cigar. The cigar was a carrot with a birthday candle in it. He wanted both of them lit.

We had a great Halloween. It was so fun to see everyone dressed up and so happy. We hope everyone else had a Happy Halloween too!

Utah Vacation

After Idaho we traveled up to Utah. We had a wonderful time visiting with all of Michael's siblings. Rebecca had a full house to feed. Andy and Rebecca were wonderful hosts. We had a great time. We had a great time catching up with everyone. We haven't seen most of them in a few years. It was nice to meet some of them as well. We hope we didn't offend anyone and that we will be welcomed back. :) (We can be a bit sarcastic)
We spent a wonderful Halloween there. The kids got all dressed up and went around the neighborhood. We had a huge group of kids.

We also decorated pumpkins. Everyone did such a great job decorating the pumpkins. I am sure they are the best on the block.
It was so fun. I hope we can go back more often, I want Joshua and Dallin to know their cousins. I guess we will just have to get rich so we can travel more :)

Dallin was pretty much attached to Michael's leg this whole trip so this was rare to see him with a smile in my arms.

Idaho Vacation

We had a wonderful trip to Idaho. The boys did great on the airplane. They were so excited with every landing and take off. The boys had a night of adjustment and then slept pretty good. We all had a blast at the West house. The boys were spoiled with trains and cars, while Michael and I were spoiled with dinner and cable tv.

The boys were so excited to see snow. They were running around and laughing while Dad loaded up the car.
Joshua got a little trim from Grandma. He held pretty still and Grandma did a great job. He looks so handsome.

I think Grandpa was the only person who actually got to hold Dallin without Dallin screaming. Dallin put Grandpa to sleep but Dallin didn't end up sleeping. :)
We had a great time and found ourselves wishing we could spend more time. I even got to go the Haunted Mill for the first time with my sister. Jessica and Jenny gave us a tour of campus. It was so fun to see how much has changed. We had a wonderful time, and can't wait until the next visit.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We made it to a pumpkin patch this year. We had a great time and the weather was perfect.

The boys enjoyed the train ride. They had a tractor pulling little barrels for the kids. I think Joshua rode it like five times. He loved it. Dallin thought it was ok. Dallin got his face painted and it looked so cute.
The also got to feed some fish. The catfish in the pond were well fed. Most of the food didn't make the water, but the boys enjoyed watching the fish swim around.
We took a little hayride to see the pumpkins. Joshua had to try to pick them all up. We all had a great time. Joshua cried all the way home because he wanted to go back.

Dallin updated stats

Dallin had a well baby check up today. He is doing great! He is in the 50th percentile in weight coming in around 24 1/2 pounds and is in the 90th for height measuring a tall 33 inches. He sceamed every time he saw the nurse and was right back to happy as soon as she left the room. Joshua got his flu shots as well, and Dallin screamed for him. Joshua took them like a champ! No crying. I feel so blessed that my babies are healthy and happy!

Sleep Over

We had fun on Sunday when we watched a couple of boys for the night. My boys had a blast.

Michael taught them how to make balloon dogs and then it all turned to swords. Go Figure. :)

Fall Camping

Joshua and Dallin are great little campers!

We had a great time camping this weekend. We went to Lake Texoma. It was my first time in Oklahoma. :) We went with some friends of ours. We had yummy stew for dinner and cobbler for dessert. We stayed warm and cozy around the fire, or by going on little hikes to the fishing pier.

Michael did a great job packing and planning for our camp out. He just forgot the hot dogs, which we planned to have for lunch the next day. Luckily there was a store near by.

The kids slept pretty good. They did not even get up until after seven in the morning. The kids are hanging out by the campfire in the morning. We got them all warmed up by going to the lake. We had to walk down lots of stairs, but the kids enjoyed the view.

We had a nice relaxing weekend. They even had a little playground where the kids had fun going down the slide. They don't make slides like this anymore. You fly off it! The boys did great until we got home and then they were a little cranky but after a nice warm shower we were all back to normal. We had a great time and love to camp with the Williamsons!
