Blue Bonnet Season!

Michael just got back from Arizona.  He brought back scorpion suckers for the kids.  Leah wasn't sure she wanted to eat it.

It is Blue Bonnet season again and per Texas tradition I tried to squeeze in a little picture.  The weather wasn't great.  It was really windy and then started to rain on us, but we got it in.  :)  Jessica has her hands full when she takes our family pictures next week.  It is hard to get everyone looking.  ha ha

Evan looks so tired.  He was not enjoying the wind.  He is walking all over the place now.  I  can't believe how big he is.

Joshua is busy with soccer and loves playing outside.  He is really enjoying reading.  He loves science and has been reading a quite a few tornado books.  He gets excited about storms.

Dallin is busy with soccer as well.  He is reading pretty good himself.  Dallin loves gym and art.  He got into an argument the other day with Joshua over when his hair would start falling out like Dads.  I had a good laugh listening to that conversation.
Leah is happy almost all of the time.  She is a great helper.  She loves to sing, and to color.

Race, Soccer, and Conference

We had a great weekend.  On Saturday the boys played thier first soccer games.  They did great!
Michael is the coach of Dallin's team.  It happened by accident, but he seems to be really enjoying it.  Dallin loves it.

Michael and Dallin's team is really good.  Michael had to try and explain to 4-5 year olds that they needed to slow down making goals.  The other team had a hard time getting into the game.

Joshua's coach is really working with them to start passing which is great.  Joshua team did great too.  Even though they don't keep score, Joshua will tell you they won 3-2.  I heard it was a great game.  I had a race that morning and couldn't make it.  I hate missing stuff!

I did the Fairview Half.  It was an awesome course with longhorns, alpacas, and horses.  They had pacers in 5 minute increments.  I loved not having to manage my own time.  Michael thought that it was really weird that I took a picture with the pacer.  I spent a good two hours with her and she really encouraged me, especially the last mile. I finished last out of the group that was trying to be sub 2:10.  ha ha She helped me get a new personal record of 2:07.  yeah!!

Jenny and Liz did great too!  It fun to have friends to run with!

After the race and soccer we got to relax and watch Conference.  I made cinnamon rolls and cookies.  It was a fun weekend!

Our week

We played with cousins this weekend.  We had a good time.  This was a little game of duck duck goose.  Even Oliver enjoyed being chased around in the game.

I ended up accidently getting caught in the rain twice this week.  I feel like Marianne from Sense and Sensibility.  lol  We need the rain and it was nice to have.  The kids survived.  Leah's hair curls so much when it is rainy.  Once when I started jogging with the littles ones.  We didn't get too wet then.  The next day on the way to and from school we got down poured on.  We did end up running home as it started to come down pretty hard with lightening and thunder.

Dallin drew this character the other day.  I thought it looked pretty good.

Leah and Evan love to do puzzles.  It is cute to watch them work together.

We had a busy week, and another busy to week to follow.  The boys have their first soccer game and I have a half marathon.  Should be exciting.

Nerf Gun War

Michael's Birthday is on Tuesday so we celebrated on Saturday.  We went to the park and had hot dogs.  Michael also wanted to have a nerf gun war.  Jenny made him this cute fish cake.

Dustin is displaying Jessica's art work on his shirt, while awaiting the attack.
Michael is dodging a dart.

Tony is taking cover.

All the little kids and Moms had a good time too!  :)

Spring Break

The kids had spring break this week.  We had a great time.  We headed to the Arboretum with friends.  This time we went to the Children's Garden.  I have been wanting to wait for Michael to go with us, but it just never worked out.  We had a fabulous time.  I LOVE the Children's Garden!
Joshua and Dallin loved the Tornado like winds.
Dallin made a tornado with water.
They have an awesome tree house with roped nets for the kids to monkey around on.  It is really high up.
It was fun to hang with our friends.
They have a fun little toddler area as well.

Two peas in a pod.

We also went to the library for story time.  They made fox tails.
We also rode bikes and played at the playground with friends.

This picture is out of order, but it is from the garden as well.  They have a whole section for the power of water.  The kids of course loved it.  Leah was soaked after playing in the water.

We had a great spring break!  The weather is perfect and we love hanging outdoors!

My Little ones at home

We went to the Arboretum with Jessica and her in laws.  We had a great time.  Leah loves playing with Thomas.  We loved the new houses they had set up.

 I love the Owl house.

Leah wouldn't smile for me, but Evan did.

Evan and Leah are starting to play together a little.  They both love the trampoline.
They love playing in the teepee.  They set up camp and have fun.

It is fun seeing their personalities grow.  I love being able to be at home with my kids.  I am blessed.  :)

Evan One Year

My baby is one years old.  I can hardly believe it.  He is getting so big.  He is in the 75th percentile for height and weight.  He is weighing in just under 23 pounds and he is 30.8 inches tall.  We celebrated his Birthday on Friday with the Clark and Cruz family.

Evan loves all of his gifts.  He plays with all of them.  He has been in heaven playing with all of his new toys.

I tried to make an ark.  ha ha  At least the cake tasted good.

We made pasta bake, aspergus, and rolls for dinner.  Evan cleaned his plate!  We love him so much.  He is so cute and cuddly.  We are happy is part of our family!
