monkeying around

It has been hot around here, but we still manage to get outside for a bit to play.

Playing with cousins at the park for a bit.

Leah wanted to bead bracelets.  She was so excited to create.

We have been working with Evan on bike riding.  He is enjoying it and finally getting comfortable.

We are still playing around the house with the costumes.

Never a dull moment over here.

8 is Great!

Dallin turned 8 this weekend!

He wanted an ice cream sandwich cake.  All of the kids wanted to help me make it.

It tasted pretty good. It didn't look as good as the picture, but tasted great!

Dallin really wanted a skate board.  He is getting the hang of it too.  Evan just had to try it out.

Dallin was excited about all of his gifts.

For his Birthday he got to go to Hawaiian Falls water park.  He had a blast!  They came back a little red, but it sounds like it was worth it.

Happy Birthday Dallin!  We are so proud and love you so much!

Vacation and swimming

Michael got to camp out in the Tetons with his brothers.  He had a great time.

We miss the mountains.

We have been up to the usual.

A friend of mine took the kids swimming one day while I was sick.

They had a great time swimming!

While Michael was gone.  I got sick and ended up needing an IV to get my fluids back up.  I am doing much better, but not quite a 100% yet.  I have never done so much laying around in my life.  ha ha.  I have great family and friends who came to help while i was really sick.  I am humbled and amazed at how great everyone is.

My crew on the 4th of July.  They went swimming and watched fireworks.

My nephew Rylan turned 3.  The party was at our house.  It looks like everyone had a great time!

Swim lessons just finished up for us.  Leah is getting better and a little more brave each time we go.

The boys are looking good and their strokes are getting stronger.

Swimming

My wonderful kids got a hold of my phone and deleted my entire gallery.  Good times.  I guess no pictures this week.

We have been swimming every day this past week.  Joshua and Dallin are looking so much stronger.  Dallin moved up another swim level and Joshua is close.  I think both of them will be able to move up again soon.

Leah developed a fear swimming, so we are working on her not being afraid to float all over again.  I am not sure where her fears are coming from.  She also decided to be afraid of bike riding as well.  I hope we can work though some of those insecurities.  Leah also went to Kindergarten round up.  She is looking forward to starting school in two months with her brothers.

Evan loves to jump in the pool. He wishes he was in the same class as his siblings.  He is getting to be very independent.  He wants to do everything on his own.  I just have to make sure we have enough time for him to dress himself and put on shoes.

Swim Lessons

We started swim lessons.  Dallin has already moved up a level.  They are doing really well.

It has been so hot this week.  We went to wade in the creek.

Well wading turned into swimming.

The boys had the raingutter regatta.  Dallin ended up in third place.

Joshua ended up in first place.

The boys all had a good time.

Today is Father's Day.  We have have some great men in our life.  The kids made Michael breakfast this morning.

First week of summer

We had a fun busy week, and I didn't take very many pictures.  We had some friends come to play on Monday and another set on Wednesday.  The kids enjoyed running around and being crazy with friends.  We filled up our backyard pool and also went to the community pool.

I turned a year older.  Michael made me this delicious cake.

This is from the second to last day of school.  The boys did great and won some great awards.

They both were on honor roll all year long.

The boys also both went to Boy Scout Twilight camp.  They loved it!  They got to shoot BB guns and arrows.  Now that scout camp is over we will move on to swim lessons!

Summer!

Memorial Day we went to the lake.  We have been getting lots of rain lately so the lake was muddy and really full.

The kids had no problem swimming and having fun!

We ate yummy food and had a good time.

All of us got a little burned, so it is the official start of summer.

We came home full of mud, but it was worth it!

We have been getting so much rain.  One day we had 4.5 inches in an hour.  It filled up our street fast from the overflow of the creek.

The creek also reached our back fence in the back yard.  After the rain slowed down it went dropped just as quickly as it rose.

Raytheon had an open house.  The kids had a blast!  We never get to go to Michael's work because security is tight, but they just moved into a new building so they had an open house.  This picture was taken in the STEM room.  They were catapulting balls into waste baskets.  We also made airplanes and got to see how far they would fly.  They provided lunch and a little scavenger hunt for the kids.

Michael showed us the gym as well.  All the kids wanted to test out the equipment.

The kids loved having their own security badges and now they pretend that they work at Raytheon.  It is really cute.

This was the first day of school and we just got out Friday, so I thought it would be fun to compare the first day to the last day. I didn't take a picture on the last day of school but the Raytheon badge picture is from Saturday so close enough.   I think the boys' look hasn't changed much, but they sure have grown and learned lots.
