Pumpkins and Soccer

Dallin made a Harry Potter pumpkin.

Michael and I did a wizard pumpkin

Joshua did a Raven pumpkin for Ravenclaw.

Evan and Leah made this one.
Ward Trunk or Treat.

It was the last soccer game of the season.  It was a heart breaker for Joshua's team.

Evan did well this year.  He had a great time with his team.

Leah made a goal.  She really played well this last game.

Texas State Fair

We headed out to Half Price Books clearance sale last Saturday.  It was amazing!  A huge warehouse full of books 2 dollars and under.  We had so much fun going through and finding books.

Next we headed to the fair for the first time.

The kids played games.

We rode a few rides.
We tried the food.

We enjoyed the cars.

The kid had fun sitting in expensive cars.

Rainy October

We have gotten so much rain recently!  This is our street yesterday.

Michael wanting to scare his Mom so he had to stand in it.
I chopped 15 inches off of my hair and donating it.  It feels weird to have it so short.

We have a Ravenclaw member running around our house.

Dallin is Gryffindor.

And my little Draco Malfoy.  lol

Dallin went to the Houston Space center.

He had a great time.
They left school at 5 am and got back at midnight.

I love that he has these opportunities.

October is here

We started out with the stomach bug.  Luckily only two went down sick.

Evan created a city and transportation with his class.  He built the airplane behind him.  He built the library for the city his class created.  He told why libraries are so important.  He also made his own house.  Parents got to come and if we took a picture of the house or building a video of the student would pop up and explain what the made.

They also picked their jobs and had to move their person to go to work.  Evan picked fire fighter.

Aaron went to the pumpkin patch.

He got to feed the goat.

The hay maze.

He also enjoyed a hay ride with his buddies.

Dallin competed again in robotics.  He didn't do as well this week as last, but had a good time and made it in time for soccer.  The boys played an awesome game.  They are getting really fun to watch.

Leah and Evan had a good game too.  We were also privileged to see a rainbow.

We also enjoyed conference this weekend.

Lots of paper and pencil.

I made a brookie for the women's session.  It didn't turn out too bad.  We enjoyed listening to the messages and the kids did pretty well.  We have them each pick a word and they get one gummy bear every time they hear their word, so they listen pretty good for a while.  :)

Catching up

We have had lot of rain.  We had the water come up and get really close to our house.  Luckily it went back down.

We had to clean up a lot of trash and lots of mud on the sidewalks.

We enjoyed the cooler temperatures.  The boys love riding their bikes.

We had soccer this weekend.  Joshua played great as goalie.  Dallin didn't make the game due to robotics.  Dallin took second in robotics.  I didn't get a picture because Michael took him.

Evan scored a beautiful goal.  He played great as well!

It is so fun to see them learn and grow.

Labor Day Weekend Fun!

The kids played at KidMania.

They had a great time running up and down and all over.

Jenny and I did the 5 mile race.  We actually both did better than expected.  It was good race with friends.

We swam at a friend's pool.  It was so nice to have a little break from school.  The past week had been a little rough with unexpected pipe leak in the kitchen sink, and Aaron locking us out of the house at some point.
