Happy Birthday Aaron, Covid, and Happy 15

Aaron wanted shark things for his birthday!  He was so excited for his presents.

This is my attempt at a shark cake.  lol I was short on time and talen.

The kids had a great time unloading 500 balloons.

We had water guns and lots of balloons.  It really helped to cool off in the afternoon.

He was a little sad his class didn't come and sad that his cousins Elizabeth wasn't there, so we will have to get together with Elizabeth another time.
The older boys have been practicing a dance routine for Quincenera.  They were asked to be on the court.

They did a great job on the dance and enjoyed dancing after the official dance.

Michael really enjoyed watching the boys surrounded by all these girls.

It was fun to see them do something out of the box.

The boys looks so handsome!

Covid also hit Mom and Michael.  The rest of us were well.  Michael and Mom were fine too just had to quarantine. They all tested negative within a week.  We are so grateful that everyone is ok.

Aaron started school!

He was so nervous but he loved it!  Now that all of my kids are in school I thought I would have more time to do thing, but that has proven to be very untrue.  lol  Life just keeps getting busier.

Dallin ran the Hot Trot 5k.  He did a great job!  He is planning on going out for track in the spring.
The Hot Trot benefited a fallen Police officer's family.  The lady pictured above was the officer's mother.  She walked the 5k in 2 hours with her walker.  It was so amazing!

Jenny ran a half marathon at the race.  It was so hot, I was so impressed with her running in the heat!

Aaron at meet the teacher.  He warmed up to the teacher pretty fast.

We have to pick up Joshua from swim practice and take him to band practice.  I often find Aaron like this.  School is hard work.

First Week of School

We are back at school!

We were awarded with chocolates from Spain after watching a friend's dog.

Leah got this cute bag.  She loves it.

Joshua leaves for school first and it is still dark out.

Evan and Leah leave an hour later.

The first day of school it was raining.  We couldn't find our umbrellas, our bus stop moved due to construction, and our van was down so we walked and got a little wet.  ha ha

Dallin leaves last.  They all had a good week.

Joshua has been working really hard at band.  We got to see a showcase of what they have been working on.  He really enjoys band.

We had a good  time.

We went to Jessica's for a Birthday.  The kids had fun with VR.

All in all it was a long busy week.

Summer 2021

Where did the summer go?  We have been so busy, so I decided to do one marathon post to catch up.

We got a decent harvest from our garden this fall.  We loved the tomatoes and cucumbers especially.

Joshua took biology this summer so he can take AP Bio in the fall.  He did excellent in the class.  He had to be on the bus by 6:30 am so we were up early all summer.

The older boys were asked to dance at a Quincenera so they have been practicing the dance.  The kids and I have been hanging out in the heat.

We have went swimming just about every weekend.  It is nice that the kids are all old enough for me not to worry too much.  All have been jumping off the diving board and climbing the rock climbing wall and going down slides.

We had a huge water balloon fight at a ward members house.  The kids had a great time.

They have ripped up our road in front of our house.  It will be nice when it is done but some days we can't get into our driveway.  I have to haul the groceries from the down the block.  Our wagon has come in handy.

Joshua had another ingrown toe nail. This time they lasered his toe, I am hoping this time it helps for them not to return.

We have gone kayaking several times.  Evan is getting very good at kayaking by himself.

More swimming and lessons.  Leah has progressed really nicely.  She can join swim team next year if she wants.  Evan has improved a lot too.

We launched rockets off as well.

We celebrated Dallin's birthday at Hawaiian Falls.  Jessica even got us guest passes, so that was amazing!  We had a blast!

Dallin had his typical ice cream sandwich cake and hot dogs.

Evan got glasses.  He is still getting used to them. He has already left them at the park once and luckily we were able to retrieve them.

We have been dog sitting for a few weeks.  I think they have wanting a dog out of their system now.  The kids have had fun but also now know the work that goes into it.

Joshua and Dallin had band all week.  Dallin's was only an hour so we had to wait for him after swim lessons.  The kids just read with their towels as blankets.  ha ha  Joshua was at band from 8-5 so he had really long days.

We have been helping to exercise another dog when the owner went out of town.  Joshua and Dallin have also been mowing their lawn and earning a little money.

We went to a library sponsored event where they read us stories about kites and then we had to make our own.  It was fun.  It sort of worked.

Next week school starts so hoping this week is a little less busy before all the kids start.

Soccer is over

Joshua has really grown in the last year.  He recently just shot up 4 more inches.  Crazy to think he will be in High School soon.

Aaron finished his first soccer season.  He had fun.  He loves his medal.

Evan's team did great.  Evan has good hustle.

Aaron's team finished strong.
Evan had a good soccer year as well.  Leah's team did great.  I didn't get pics of her last game.  Michael is a great coach for their team.  It is so fun to see them grow so much.

A little of this and that

Soccer has been cancelled for three weeks so we have been playing volleyball.  The picture above is Joshua chasing the volleyball down to the creek.

We have played at the park between storms.

Evan and Leah are getting good and monkey bars.

Aaron has hung out at the arboretum.

We have our flowers blooming.

Evan and Leah got first and second at Steamposium.  I am so proud of their work and this year was a great year for robotics.
