November Happenings

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We fed around 30 people.

I was too busy enjoying myself to take pictures but the food and company was excellent.

Evan and Leah had a robotics tournament.  There controller was malfunctioning so they didn't do well, but they learned some lessons.

Joshua had a good swim meet.

He is doing great and has improved so much.

This was yummy jello that took a long time with all the fancy layers.

The kids did a turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning.

It was cold and we had a great time.

I love seeing everyone run and accomplish goals.

Dallin beat everyone in the family.  He is considering track this year.  Emily placed in her age group.  Kira had an awesome PR.  Thiago and Rylan ran their first ever 5k and did great.  I was a great cheerleader. ha ha

We learned about fire safety and roasted marshmallows for activity for primary.  It is fun to hang out with these kids.

Over Thanksgiving break we checked our the new playground in our area.

Aaron had been raking leaves.  He is so proud how high he can pile the leaves.

Aaron learned about indigenous people and had a cute feast at school

He was all tuckered out after school one day.  We have to pick up Joshua from swim and bring him back to the high school and by the time we got home he was out.  He hasn't done this since the beginning of the year.

Aaron was hiding his turkey.  He painted it to look like Pikachu.

He also disguised himself.

November was a great month.  The older boys tried out for regional and district band.  We celebrated Thomas's birthday with the Clark family.  Joshua has his last football game of the season so that frees up some time.  He has started in with robotics.  Michael is still really busy with Work, Crumbl, and Church.

Halloween, Band, Robotics, Soccer

We carved pumpkins this year.  Michael was gone and he is a way better artist then me, but we got it done.  Aaron's pictured above we just make a dragon without carving

Evan and Leah had a robotics tournament.  They had to dress as Avengers as a team so we have Scarlett Witch and Captain America.

Joshua's band made UIL Area competition.

The competition is tough.  They have 3 of the top ten bands in America in their area.  They did a wonderful job but didn't make state.

Halloween we have Carmen Sandiego

Aaron was Captain America for the Church Trunk or Treat.

Evan was so much more interested in the light saber than trunk or treating.

Joshua and Dallin were anime characters.

Aaron also dressed as a storm trooper.

Evan also did skeleton

Sunday we had dinner with the neighbors and hung out.

The kids played yard games.

Ward Trunk or Treat photo booth.

Leah and the girls in her class.

Aaron also dressed as Flash for another trunk or treat.

We had our last soccer game of the Fall.

All the kids did so well.  I am so impressed with how much they have grown and improved.

Marching band is over and now onto all district band.  I am also so impressed with how much their band improved.  They worked so hard and I really enjoyed their show.

Yikes, the last month

This past month has been super busy.  I thought I was busy before in my life but I was wrong.  Michael opened up a Crumbl with his brother and friend.  It is exciting and scary and a lot of work.  Michael has been working his regular job and working over at Crumbl and still Bishop of the Ward.

Leah did a report for Hispanic Heritage month and showed off her work at school.

I snuck in a race early one morning.  Thanks to my sister Kira for taking one of my sons to the soccer game.  I made it for the other two soccer games.  I did much better this year then in 2019 at this race so I will call it a win.

It has been a good year of soccer.  The kids are improving.  Aaron has scored a goal.  Evan is an excellent defender.

Leah is scoring almost every game.  The team is so fun to watch.

Dallin got his braces off.  He hates pictures he has a great smile.

Band fest happened.  Dallin did a great job.  Joshua also performed.  Dallin has also played at middle school football games.

I have watched many band competitions and half time shows.  Joshua's band has improved so much.  They even placed fifth at one competition.  I have had to drop him off at 4 AM one morning.  They work so hard but glad to see if paying off.

We had an hour or two to kill at the soccer fields before the next game so I walked the kids through the Halloween store.  We had a good time.

We had a neighborhood block party.  The police came and showed off their vehicles.

Aaron had a blast.  He currently wants to be a police officer so he had all kinds of questions for the police.

Joshua has had a few swim meets.  He has improved so much.  We are very proud of his hard work.

We attended a few family Birthday parties.

We decorated for Halloween.

Friday night game.  It is so fun to watch the kids do things that they love.

Aaron loves school.  He had western day at school.  He is doing so well.  He tells me everyday at school is a good day.

More of Joshua swimming.  He has been doing the backstroke and free style.

The team competed in a Bands of America marching competition.  This was the proof they gave me. They saw some inspiring bands.

Soccer is back!

They have started construction in our yard.  The City needs to replace a man hole so they are digging and driving all over our yard with a big machinery.

On Friday we all were home.  This is a very rare occurrence.  We all piled in the van and went for ice cream.  I can't even remember the last time all 7 of us were in the same car.  ha ha  Life is crazy.

Soccer started and the kids did great.  Evan insisted on wearing these neon shorts.  He was very easy to spot.  He played well.

Aaron did well too.  He is getting better with each game.  Leah had an awesome game.  I was too into it to take a picture.  She scored a goal on a corner kick.

Evan and Leah started building their robot.  I am excited to see what this season brings.

Labor Day

Joshua had homecoming this weekend.  We all went to the football game to watch him play in the band.  He did a great job and the football team won.

Labor Day weekend we grilled and played games.  I lost an intense game of Smath.

We all went to watch Joshua in march in the parade.

I was too busy yelling and cheering to take a picture of him marching.

All in all we had a good busy week.
