Two Night Camping

We took a two night camping trip and had a great time! The second night we had our friends join us for even more fun. We had great food the whole time. Dallin had a really hard time sleeping the first night, but other than that things went smoothly. We had yummy food both nights. We got a little rain at night and heard the wild pigs that are around.

The campground had a really fun playground the boys enjoyed playing. We also took the raft out on the lake. It was so nice to have a full day to relax. On Friday morning I went for a jog, while Michael made breakfast. The boys played in the dirt the whole time. We were all pretty filthy by the time we got home.

We had a great time with our friends. It is always fun to sit around a campfire and share stories with good friends. The kids had fun running around with their friends. We had a good game of volleyball, which my volleyball skills need some practice.
We had a great weekend, but enjoyed coming home to sleeping in my own bed.

Pumpkin Patch

We decided to try out the Flower Mound pumpkin patch this year. Joshua told me he liked Tyler's better, because their train had steering wheels. :) The boys ended up having a great time. We went on the hay ride. We avoided the bounce houses. Joshua is terrified of them. It was really dusty, but we ended up getting a few good pictures.
The boys enjoyed the hay maze behind the Little Einstein characters. They figured it out pretty easy. They have lots of characters most of Joshua's and Dallin's favorites were there.
We didn't actually buy a pumpkin here, but it was fun to run though and look at them. Aunt Jenny came with us and helped us take pictures. We got her out of bed early, so we appreciate her efforts!
You can't tell by this photo but we are in a train,. My boys hardly ever look and smile at the same time. They were troopers though.

Fall is Here!

We played at the Arboretum this week. It was so fun. They have all of their pumpkins out and the boys had a blast. The boys of course wouldn't smile for me, but this was as close as I could get.
They have a little maze set up for the kids. The kids had fun trying to go through it and then just started to play and go over the barriers.
We are loving the cooler temperatures. We have been outside lots more. Dallin got his first hornet sting. He survived. Joshua is working on his bike riding. Michael is busy with work and Church. We are just enjoying our time outdoors! I love Fall!

It's a Girl!

We are pleased to announce that we are expecting a girl in February. We were pleasantly suprised! All is healthy and well. Joshua is taking some convincing that he would like a little sister. He said if we named her Wendy it might be ok, so Wendy is not my first choice but maybe he can call her that!
PS this is not a shot of our little girl, but it looked really similar I was too lazy to scan it in.

Playing at the Arboretum

We played at the Arboretum last week with a friend. We even gave in and bought a pass. It is so fun to see the Fall stuff coming out. They were lining up the pumpkins and setting up the hay bails! I am so excited for Fall! The kids had a great time. They played hard and we all got a little pink by the end of the day. We also got a little wet, in the fountain by the end as well. :)

Bowling, football, and Floating

We had a great weekend. On Friday we went out with our friends and went bowling and played games. It was a good time! I did horrible bowling but the company was good! On Saturday we watched football! Yeah, we love football. We went to a friends house to watch football since we do not have cable. Michael invited himself over for a game ;) We had a good time watching the kids play and watching the game.

On Monday we went to Lake Lavon and took out our new raft. We had a blast. We got a little sun, but it wasn't too hot, just hot enough. :)
Dallin was a little nervous to walk in the mud so the only way I could get him in the water was to carry him until we got in the middle of the water where he felt safe. He hated the feeling of mud between his toes.
Joshua showed no fear with the boat. He even told me he wanted to row, so I let him do it. We had a good time riding the wake of the motor boats buzzing by.
Michael had a blast on the raft. We finally got Dallin to take a little ride. It took some convincing but he did it only after he didn't touch any mud to get into the raft. We also brought some friends with us and had a yummy barbecue. We had a great time with our friends and new raft and of course Aunt Jenny!

Jenny's Birthday

We took Aunt Jenny bowling for her Birthday. Our original plan was to go to Studio Movie Grill, but we were not interested in any of the movies playing. We all decided to go bowling. Kids under 18 bowl the first game free, so we let the boys bowl. They loved it! They were so excited to knock down pins. It was a lot of fun. This is the boys fake smiling for me, lovely I know. :) I just have to mention that team Joshua Dallin did better then Dad in the first game. :) Joshua and Dallin also had bumpers up and Michael didn't but still I had to give him a hard time.
Jenny blew us all out of the water with her bowling, but it was her Birthday after all. :) We love you Aunt Jenny and are so happy that you live so close to us!

We made her a "cake" (brownies, we just like them better). The boys did a great job singing Happy Birthday and I thought I got it on video but I thought wrong. Oh well. We ate pizza and rented a movie for the night. All and all a successful day. Well, at least it has to beat the funeral she went to last year for her Birthday. :)
