Little Update

We had a fun weekend.  The kids had their cousin Thomas sleep over.  They really enjoyed playing and spending time with him.  We got to meet Thomas's new brother Oliver.  He is adorable.  We didn't get to hold him because Michael got a cold and we didn't want to share it, so we were extra careful.  Congrats to Jessica and Dustin.
The kids all ready for Church in the morning. Leah is turning two next week.  Time really flies!
Joshua is doing well in school.  He is getting better and better at reading.  Dallin has started to read a little as well.  They are just growing up so fast.  Leah is working on her colors and loves doing animal sounds.

Dallin took the picture above.  He just got a camera for Christmas and enjoys taking pictures.  I have about four weeks left until life gets a little crazy.  I'm hoping this little one will be a good sleeper.  :)  I find it funny how many people have been commenting on my belly size.  Some people say I'm huge and others think I am so little.  ha ha  I guess we will find out how big the baby is in a few weeks.

A little snow

I went last weekend to South Dakota.  I flew into what was supposed to be a big blizzard.  It turned out to be only a little snow and lots of wind. It had been a while since I have been in tempatures that cold.  It was great fun to hang with my parents.  I also got a lot of work done at the store, so it all went well.

Michael survived for three days by himself here.  Before I left Dallin informed me he liked Dad because Dad gives him juice, lets him play video games, and lets him burp. Michael did a good job while I was gone.  He even had roses waiting for me at the airport.  So sweet!

The next day after I arrived home we got snow!  I must have brought it with me from South Dakota.  :)

It was all melted by the end of the day.  Joshua was hoping some of it would stick around so he could play in it after school, but that didn't happen.  The rest of us took advantage and played in it.

We made a mini snowman and snow angels.   Now our tempatures are nearing 60 and my kids don't even want to wear long sleeves or coats outside.  :)

Frigid 5K

It was a cold one!  I am loving that it is actually feeling like "winter" here.  The boys, especially Dallin really wanted to run a race.  I convinced Michael to get out of bed early and hang out in the cold.  He is a trooper. :)

My friend Elise coming in before the rest of us!

My sister Jenny running at 15 weeks pregnant.  She did well!

This will be my last race before baby arrives.  It felt pretty good.

Tony running in to the finish line.

Michael was freezing the whole time.  The kids did okay because they love to run around.  They are also used to playing outside more than Michael.

Boys all ready for their 1K.

After the 1K.  In full disclosure Leah did not run the full race she did about 2/3 ish.  Michael carried her a little as well, but she had fun and it was her first race.

Sorry it is sideways.  I still have lot to learn on blogger.  :)  This is Dallin running in.  He did really well.  He has been practicing on our walks home from school.

Merry Christmas!

We are having a fabulous Christmas!  The kids actually slept in until 7:30 AM.  It was a wonderful gift to Michael and I.  :)

We looked at Chritmas lights last night and Leah loved it.  She squealed with delight every time she saw a house lit up.  We read the Christmas story and had a good night's sleep.

We are so grateful for all of our gifts.  We are truely blessed!  We wish we could be with our families for Christmas, but settled for phone calls, skype, and messages.  We love and miss you all!

We are also having a white Christmas!  Awesome!  It is the best way to celebrate Our Saviour's Birth!  We hope you are all having a Merry Christmas!  ps Leah picked our the hat and put it on.

Work in Progress

We are working on reorganzing and redoing our room situation.  Michael just finished making the bunkbeds below.  We are adding a loft on tomorrow, so I will update if all goes well.  ;)  The boys slept on the beds all night and they are still standing!  Michael is impressive!  The boys loved them!  We were both super tired after this project.  Michael painted the room as well.  We are getting stuff done this Holiday break!

This is our finished product!  Yeah, I am so proud!

Gingerbread Trains and Fish

Michael won the gingerbread train kit at work as his white elephant gift.  The kids had fun decorating it.

I also found a really good deal on a fish tank. It is just a 10 gallon one.  Michael loves fish and so I had Tony help me get it.  I couldn't very well hide a fish tank until Christmas and I certainly couldn't move it by myself so he got it early.

The kids love it as well!  They have named the fish Simon, North Electricute, South, Santiago, Bumblebee, Optimus, and Wade.  The names cracked me up.  Santiago has a mustache so that is even more funny.  :)

Christmas Around the Corner

We have been busy this Christmas season.  We set up our tree after Joshua's Birthday.  The kids had a good time.

We bought this tree when we first got married and Michael didn't think we would still have it 7 years later.  ha ha!  Some day we will have a bigger one, but I like our little tree.

We also went to the lighting of Downtown Garland.  It was fun.  There were fireworks and the kids loved it.  Joshua said it was better then the 4th of July because they weren't as loud.  The kids also got to go snow tubing.  They loved it.  I guess you can say it was Texas style!
