Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a good Thanksgiving.  We had much to be grateful for.  Michael played football in the morning and I worked on the meal.  Jenny made us dessert.  We had a good time.

On Friday morning we headed out to hunt for a Christmas tree.  We got a hay ride out to wear the trees were.
We got to feed the farm animals.

We had to measure how big the tree was.  I wanted a six foot tree, and Michael decided an 8 foot tree would be better.  It is so huge for our house.

There was a maze for the kids.  Evan and Rylan loved it!
We found the tree and sawed it down.  We hitched a ride back on the tractor.  We did have to stop once to retie the tree but we made it back to the city.

We headed to Uncle David's later that day to hang out with family. We had a wonderful time!

School kid update and a real date

Dallin and his cute little first grade classs.

Dallin was picked as super achiever of the 2nd grading period.  He is reading well and so helpful to the teacher.

Joshua made the A honor roll.  He is doing really well at his new school.  They had a STEAM night competition where Joshua and Dad had to build a tower with uncooked spaghetti and marshmellow.  Joshua said he took first in his class, but came up short overall.  They had a great time!

Dallin just lost his first tooth, and then the next day he lost his second tooth. He already spent his money at the store.

Michael and I got away on Friday to see the Mavericks play the Lakers.  We had a good time.  We couldn't have sat any higher then we were.  :)  Mavs won and it was fun to see the men tumble at half time.

Program and Projects

We had a primary program today.  The kids did great!  They looked cute in their bows and bow ties.  We only had one mishap where a boy fell while walking to microphone.  My boys enjoyed it and Leah will join them next year.

It got down to freezing temps this week.  We unpacked the gloves and hats.  My kids are loving the change in weather.  They race through homework to go play out in the cold.

Joshua had to do a fairy tale diorama and show the elements.  Dallin had to disguise a turkey.  We had a big mess of construction paper, glue, and markers.

Michael was home with us this week.  The kids took advantage by attacking him.  Dad's are the best!  Sorry picture is fuzzy but kids are crazy and moving everywhere.

Fall Weather!

We are finally experiencing some Fall weather.  We had to wear jackets and got snuggle with blankets.  Michael was out East this weeks so the kids and I just cuddled up on the couch and enjoyed the cooler weather.

We finished up with Parent Teacher conferences and dentist appointments all while Michael was being fed by his sister Jennifer and enjoying the company of his brother as well.  :)  Both boys are doing well in school.  The boys' teachers had nothing but wonderful things to say about them.  We sure are proud of how they are doing in school.

Halloween

My power rangers!  Evan refused to be photographed or leave his costume on for more then five minutes so he is not pictured.  The kids are enjoying all of their candy!  They had a good time.

Here are our pumpkin this year.  Dallin made the bat, Joshua the ghost, Michael the cyclops, and I made the Lorax. We ate our pumpkin empanada and had a good time.

We also did the Church trunk or treat.  Michael got second place at the dessert contest for his empanadas.  He was so proud!

Frisco Festival

We went to fire safety town to go trick or treating on Friday.  We went with the Buie and Clark families.  It was a long line, but the kids enjoyed themselves.  Evan wanted to be a fire fighter.  He refused his power ranger costume.

The other ones loved their power ranger costume.  Each time they passed another ranger in line they would pull down their mask.

The kids got tattoos and colored and loaded up on candy.  We all had a good time.

Turner Falls Camp

We had a great team meeting up with friends and camping in Oklahoma.  We loved the park.  We loved the food, and we love the our friends!  The minute we got home the kids asked when we were going to camp with everyone again.

We hiked to a little cave.  We had to get down to crawl in.

Inside the cave we could stand up.

We had lots of fun climbing on rocks.

The Falls were pretty.  We hiked up the a castle as well.  I didn't get any pictures, but the kids enjoyed the all the stairs and secret passages in the castle.  The kids loved exploring.

We even went swimming.  It was soo cold!  Michael and I both had to swim to the water fall and check it out.  He later slipped off that rock.  Ron, our friend was really adventrous around the water fall.
