Swimming and Fire Trucks

It got hot here really early.  We are in the 100s already!  We were grateful the pool opened.

We will be back on Monday.  The kids did pretty good.  Aaron was a little nervous but was comfortable by the end.

The kids really wanted to camp this weekend, but it didn't quite work out as we had hoped.  We let them camp inside.  lol It is much cooler inside.  Joshua set up the tent.

He then started a fire for us.

Tent all set up.

We enjoyed the smores.  Joshua has a passion project and he picked camping as he passion, so we needed pictures for his slideshow.

Evan went on a field trip to the fire house.  They got an emergency call while they were there, so the kids got to see them driving away.  This was their excitement.

Evan told me fire fighters didn't like share ice cream so that is why they have three refrigerators.  lol

He had a great time at the fire house.

May activities

Evan would go to preschool with Rylan when Jenny would have it at her house.  She happened to teach the last week, so he graduated.  lol  He did great on his Kindergarten Magnet testing and made it into our first choice!  yea!

He is doing great.  He is reading, adding, subtracting, and writing.  He is so ready for Kindergarten.
We played with cousins this week.  It has been in the 90s so pool is necessary.

Thiago loved riding in the stroller and told me to keep walking.  lol

Joshua and Dallin had their big concert.  They did great!

At the choir competition they got a perfect score!

Mother's Day

I slacked off last week and didn't blog about Mother's Day.  Michael and I have great Mother's in our lives.  The kids gave me their little crafts and Michael gave me a necklace.

Joshua and Michael made Grandma and I breakfast.  Tony and Michael made a yummy dinner for everyone followed by cheesecake.  It was a great day.

We are done with soccer!  It has been hot at games the last few weeks.

I love watching them play, but love when it is over and get my time back.

A visit from Quinn

I failed and didn't take any pictures while he was here.  It was fun to hang out and catch up.  I hope to catch up with the rest of his family soon.

STEAM, Soccer, and fishing.

I just thought Aaron looked really cute this morning so I had to share.

Joshua's team won the school's roller coaster competitions so it we went to district wide competition.

While waiting for awards we did jumbo Jenga.

We bounced a little as well.

Future career kids!

I really love the way the kids school inspires them to create and explore.

Joshua's roller coaster being judged.

Meanwhile on the across the parking lot Dallin was competing.

It was apparently a real nail biter.  lol  He placed 3rd in finals.

Leah got her face painted.

Evan caught his first fish.  It was 18 inches.  Jenny and Tony took him in the morning while we were doing soccer with the other kids.  He was so happy and proud.

We did soccer before STEAM competitions.

Leah is getting better and better.

Joshua actually played the field this time.  He usually plays goalie, and loves playing goalie but had to give someone else a turn.

Life is crazy busy but it is fun to watch everyone grow and learn!

This and that

Evan is crazy.  He really wanted to buy squirt guns and ended up settling for spray bottles because they hold more water.  Then he decided to fill up the pool.  It was like 63 degrees outside.  Crazy boys!  Evan tested for magnet schools on Saturday as well. He told me he won the test.  ha ha  We will find out official results sometime in May.

Leah got her hair cut.  She was really nervous because she loves her long hair, but I hope by cutting it will come back thicker.  She looks cute regardless.

I know this pic is blurry but this boy astounds me with his strength.  He can hang and pull his feet to the top of the bar, while straight.  He can almost do a pull up.  It is crazy the amount of muscle this kid has.

5K Foam Fest

Michael and I did the 5k Foam Fest. We did soccer in the morning while watching the Cruz kids while they did the race.  We switched and then Michael and I went to the race.

We had a good time.  It was 88 degrees on Friday and Saturday with wind chill it felt like 36.  ha ha

We ran through the mud and swam through water.  We climbed walls and cargo nets.  We also went down slides.

We had a fun, and now Michael wants me to do Toughest Mudder with him.
