Summer swimming and Scout Camp

We have spent some time at the pool.  

Our friends graciously let us use their pool.  It is in the shade so it is nice and cool.

We have a blast over there.

Evan and Leah have really improved their swimming this summer.

The boys did scout camp in a cabin about a week ago.  Michael didn't take any pics so these are what I got from the Scout Master.  Dallin enjoyed cooking.

They were leading the lesson one evening.  They camped during a heat advisory so I was grateful they were in a cabin this year. 

Dallin's Birthday!

We headed to Hawaiian Falls for Dallin's Birthday.

He got to bring a friend and the day going down slides.

He also got to go to Detective Pikachu that evening.  We had hot dogs and chips for his dinner.  

Ice cream sandwich cake with family as well.  Dallin is also off at camp this week for Scouts.  Dallin is so grown up and time is going by so fast!

Other changes

Joshua had a big nasty ingrown toe nail

We went to the doctor twice before they just removed the whole nail.  He is feeling much better now.

Aaron had a party with friends

The other big and quite scary change for us is that Michael was made Bishop of our Ward.  He will be an amazing Bishop.  It was so nice for so much family to come and support him.  This picture above is all of the grand kids on my side of the family.  It was so wonderful to all be at church together.  Jessica came down for the 3rd time that week as well to support Michael.

Webster family visit

After the Browns left, we had the Websters come. The kids played games.

We went to the zoo.

They also explored downtown with Michael.  Aaron and I just did the zoo.

We had a great with them while they were here.  It was fun to visit with all of them as I don't always get a chance in big group settings.

It was weird being at the zoo with out only one kid.  lol  My bigger kids had camp all week.  

Evan did lego camp.  The other kids did an animal discovery camp and was able to go on lots of field trips. 

Brown family stay

The Brown family came at the end of June to hang with us while waiting to close on their house.  We played at the park and swam.

Emily and Leah had a good time playing house with Aaron.

We have been to splash pads.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July.  We had family over to hang for lunch.

We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs.

We went to the park celebration.  Aaron and Leah got their face painted.  

Jessica made yummy cupcakes.

We also did slip and slide kickball.

It was great day all around.

Block Party!

We had a wicked storm during church last week.  Several trees and branches went down.

The storm knocked out power at the church.  We all made it safely home.  Our poor Bishop was home during this time with his wife who wasn't feeling well.  She ended up passing away.  Our hearts are broken and we miss her dearly.  We pray for everyone who loves and misses her.  Michael conducted her funeral on Saturday.  It was a lovely funeral.

Leah had a cousin sleep over.  They colored, played in the sprinkler, watched a movie and ate popcorn.  They built a little fort to sleep in and one to play in.  ha ha  They all had a great time.

We had  neighborhood block party.  We played games.

We mingled and met new neighbors.

Leah got her face painted.

Michael did balloon animals.

Aaron enjoyed looking at the fire and police cars.

One neighbor has a monarch butterfly enclosure.  She allowed us to go in and see them.  It was really neat.

The kids had a dance off.  Dallin ended up winning a gift card.  The Dad's had a hula hoop contest.  We had a great time!
