Camping in New Mexico West Style

We met up with Michael's siblings that live in Arizona.  We had a great time!  I love that everyone was willing to drive so far to get there.  It was well worth it for us!  We traveled through two severe thunderstorms,  and as we camped we had two severe thunderstorms come through.  Ha ha we thought we were in a desert.  Poor Paul had to set up camp like three times due to the weather.  We were lucky enough to have our tent hold.

Evan did great.  He hung out with me most of the time.  Brianna is expecting a baby in couple months.  You can see her tiny bump below.  She did great camping in the desert pregnant.

We walked down to the lake and had to throw rocks in.  Paul had to show off with this big rock.  ;)

The campground had a nice covered playground.  We had fun there.

Evan did awesome!  He is a great baby!  It was too hot to sleep in the tent so he was with me most of the time.

We also played at the lake.  We took out our rafts.  We had a great time swimming and playing in the water.

In Carlsbad they have the Pecos river flowing through town.  They walled off a section and have lifeguards.  We had a good time playing in the river as well.

The three 2 year old cousins.  They started to play together the last two days.  It was fun to get them together.

The girls playing in our van.    We had to put sunscreen on every few hours, so despite having showers at the campground the girls had greasy hair.  :)

This is the last day camping. We survived!  We had a great time.  I love all of Michael's family.  It is so fun to get together with them.  We're talking about making it a yearly tradition.
Michael, Paul, and Nicole had an awesome light saber fight.  I didn't have my camera handy, but I know others got pictures.  It was fun to see them play together.  :)  It was fun to talk with Nicole, Andrew, Brianna, and Paul. I lucked out having great in-laws!  :)

I love that first picture of the tents. So much water!! And yet our tent was the only one that flooded... :) What good memories.
