Happy Half Birthday Dallin on January 15

I am a little late on blogging about his half Birthday, but better late then never. Dallin had his six month appointment and is doing great! He is weighing in at close to 19 lbs and about 28 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile in all categories. He is scooting around more, and today for the first time he was scooting forwards. He wasn't going fast but it was forward! He is sitting up lots better. He is also starting to enjoy different kinds of foods. He is growing up so fast! He also has been really loud. He making all kinds of sounds. I think Joshua is his favorite person. Joshua can make him laugh better than anyone. Dallin's face lights up when Joshua pays attention to him. It is so cute! According to Michael, Dallin said his first word yesterday. He said Dad, but like I said he has been making all kinds of sounds. We can let Michael think that Dallin was talking to him :)

Fun on Fridays

We usually get together with the Williamson Family on Mondays and Fridays to play at the park. We usually always try to make it out for a little while, no matter what the weather. The kids need to stretch their legs and I get tired of the house. :)

They are getting really familiar with this park. They love to look at the creek that runs through the park and run all the way up to the street. Carrying Dallin all around the park can be a bit heavy but it is worth for me if Joshua takes a great nap in the afternoon.
I think Afton is really good for Joshua. She is a lot more daring so he learns how to do things from her. It is great! It is so funny to see how they interact and copy each other. They are really cute to watch.
We usually eat lunch afterwards. This time we were at our house. We have a ton of leaves. Who needs a ball pit when we have piles of leaves!
The leaves literally go up that high on Joshua. We moved from 2 ft snow drifts in Idaho to 2 ft deep pile of leaves in Texas. :)

Fun with Family

We had a wonderful time in Nevada. Thank you everyone for all of the gifts and meals. It was so fun to see everyone. Our house seems empty and quiet now. :) We took lots of pictures but I will just highlight some of the things we did.

Aunt Lori made a delicious meal for us. Grandma B made me enchiladas that were so tasty. We had a great time at the Cooney home. We taught everyone how to play the Wii.

We didn't have a stroller so we took a cart from my Dad's store. Dallin actually fell asleep in it at the park. We also got to play in snow! Yeah! We miss snow!

Uncle Bob got a race car for Christmas. Joshua had fun sitting behind the wheel.

Grandpa B took Joshua out in the tractor. He was a little scared at first, but he really loves tractors. He loved the one Grandpa B got him for Christmas. He still asks for it everyone morning!

Joshua enjoyed with park with Grandpa. He got a little wet, but loved the slides there.
Joshua got a bike for Christmas. He loved crashing it into the snow. He loves his new bike and has asked for it in the morning as well!

Aunt Jenny and Joshua before church. They looks so good. Aunt Jenny is now down South. She is interning. We wish her luck.

Quinn and Nallely moved into their new apartment. They sound like they are doing great. Quinn had a Happy Birthday! We wish we could have visited with them too.

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas. It was a little strange for the weather to be so warm. We went to the Meager home for the Nativity reenactment. It was so nice. Dallin was Baby Jesus, Joshua was a Shepard, and I was an angel. It was lovely.

Joshua wasn't a fan of getting his picture taken. He loves the cars at the Meager house, so it is hard to tear him away.

Dallin got new toys to drool on as well as a race car. He did well for Christmas. He is sitting up better on his own and has started to scoot around the floor. He has gone clear across the living room floor, he is pretty proud of himself. He goes backwards, but I think crawling will come soon. He is rocking on all fours. Joshua got a new tool set and books for Christmas. He also got a race car and Denver Bronco shirt. Uncle Benjamin spoiled our boys this year. :) We went to brunch in the morning and then spent the rest of the day relaxing. We are so blessed! We had a lovely Christmas, and now we will have a second Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Rasmussen. Yeah!

Date!

We actually were able to go on a date to Michael's Christmas party for work. A friend of ours watched the boys. She did a great job with them. They also watched them on Thursday two days before our date and we were able to go to the Temple together. We have only been able to pull that off once before. The Meager family has been such a blessing in our life. We love the Meager family!
During the White Elephant exchange Michael got this great cookie jar! Joshua thinks it is cool anyway! Dallin and Joshua have been doing great. Joshua has been awake teething at night. Last night we gave him Orajel to help with the pain. It worked, or maybe he was so exhausted that he actually slept. He had been up for three nights just crying. He actually slept in until about 8 this morning. It was so nice. Dallin has been sleeping great.

We are taking off on Monday to go to the airport to see family. We are so excited! We can't wait to see everyone. Thanks Mom and Dad for helping us get tickets! Thanks to our wonderful friend Maren who volunteered to take us to the airport. We are so blessed with great friends! Also Quinn got married. We are happy for him and welcome Nallely to the family. We hope we get to see them sometime soon.

It is December and Winter is Here

We have been covering up in our blankets and getting cozy it is so nice.

Dallin has started to open his Christmas presents. I figure maybe by Christmas he will have it all the way unwrapped. :)
It has snowed twice this month. Our heater has kicked on several times. It almost feels like Idaho weather and then the next day is like 70 degrees.

The weather almost kept us from having our Enrichment activity last night. I am so glad it is over. I think it went alright. I am so thankful for everyone who helped me. We have such a great Ward and they are so willing to help. Someday I will get the hang of the calling and have no anxiety, but by then I am sure I will be released so I can expand my horizons in another calling. :)

Happy Birthday Joshua

We started out at the Doctor's office for his 2 year exam. He did so great! He didn't cry or fuss at the Doctor. He is 27 lbs and 35 in tall. He is predicted to be 5'11'' when he is all grown up. He even got his blood drawn and he didn't cry. He is such a big boy!
We were going to go to the zoo, but it was cold and none of the animals were out. We decided to take our money that we were going to spend at the zoo and get him another present. We found a great deal on a kitchen. He loves it! He makes oatmeal and hot cocoa. Now this will help keep him entertained while I cook dinner.

We gave him chicken nuggets for dinner with ranch. He loves ranch. Then we had cake. I was going to practice making cute creative cake, but I didn't do it. It still tasted fine. He has his spoon covered in frosting but still decided to eat the left over ranch with it. YUM!

Overall it was a great day! We had a wonderful time. We had friends drop off a great little table and a book for him. His Grandparents gave him some fun toys and a bed in a bag. He was very blessed yesterday. I can't believe my baby is 2. We are very proud of Joshua and love him so much.
