Happy Mother's Day!

If you know Michael's Mom or my Mom you know that they are awesome!  We are both super lucky and blessed to have such wonderful Mothers.  We have learned so much from them, and are grateful for everything they do for us!  We love you!  We hope you have a Happy Mother's Day!  I have so many good examples of Motherhood around.  I am so blessed, so Happy Mother's Day to all!

Now on to our happenings...

It rained!  We never take rain for granted here in Texas!  We must take advatage and play in it.  The boys have been into Avengers recently.  Thank you Michael.  Dallin is always Iron Man and Joshua is Captain America.

Leah was a little more shy about playing in the rain, but warmed up really quick.

Every once in a while we have to sneak a picture of Michael and I on here.  Michael took me to the symphony on Friday.  We went with friends and had a good time.

For Mother's Day I got this new stroller.  I tested it out on Saturday and went for a 7 mile run.  It worked perfect!  My old stroller was held together with tape, so it was needed.  ;)  I am super spoiled.  Michael is making me dinner tonight, which is a usual Sunday thing.  I am usually spoiled.  :)

15 Months!

Leah just had her 15 month appointment.  She is 32 inches tall (75th percentile) and 21 lbs(25th percentile).  I do enjoy how light she is.  She is healthy and pure delight.  At her doctor's appointment Joshua decided to tell the Doctor about the one and only time I forgot to buckle Leah into her carseat.  We didn't get very far before it was noticed and corrected.  The Doctor just laughed and said "that happens."  There are not secrets in your house when you have kids.  :)

I thought it would be fun to do another comparison.  I don't have very many of Joshua since our computer was stolen that had all of his pictures on it, so this one he is a little older, but it'll do.

Leah loves to walk.  We walk to and from school every day.  I will let her walk about a block, and then put her in the stroller, and she screams.  She wants to walk so bad.  She likes to run with the boys.  She loves going down the slides at the park all by herself.  She loves to climb on the table and her dresser.  She will climb into her high chair when she is hungry.  She has also been known to open the fridge and help herself to some salsa.  She is sleeping like a champ.  She is just getting big so fast.  She doesn't seem like my baby anymore.  She is my big girl, who wants to run with my big boys.

A Year of Running

I have now been running for a year.  The picture on the left was me at my first race a 5K, and the picture on the right was me today.  I finished the 10 mile race.  The last two miles were tough for me, but I had good friends meet me at mile 9 to motiviate me to the finish.  I ran the whole thing.  I am proud of the progress I made in a year.  I love all the nice and friendly people at the races.  It is so fun to see all ages, shapes, and sizes running.  Okay end of my running brag.  :)  Thanks to all my friends and family who help motivate me!  I especially wouldn't be running if it weren't for my sister Jen.  She has been trying to get me to run for a long time.  I should have listened sooner!  She is awesome!

Keeping Busy

We have been busy.  Michael took the boys camping last weekend.  Leah stayed with me and went a on a jog.  Michael finished up his Young Men's basketball season.  We just got our foundation on our house fixed.
The boys have gotten themselves into a bit of trouble early on in the week.  On Sunday they scraped the paint off the wall in Leah's bedroom.  On Monday that didn't listen very well.  On Tuesday while I was in the shower they got into the body wash that was sitting in a box in my room and dumped in on my living room floor.  It took me a several hours to clean it up.  They finished up the week with a better track record.

Joshua got a few awards this week at school.  He got the alphabet award, citizenship award, and the perfect attendence award. He is doing so well in school.  We are so proud of him.  He is gaining more and more confidence.  He loves to play with friends.  He is looking forward to summer and playing in the water.

Leah is doing well.  She is getting in some molars.  We now have her preforming a few "tricks" for us.  She will now throw away her own diaper.  After getting her dressed she will put her clothes in the dirty clothes hamper.  She will also point to her nose when asked.  Leah is just growing up so fast.

Dallin is doing amazing as well.  He almost has the whole alphabet down, and he can almost write his whole name.  He can be so sweet sometimes.  He often brings me flowers.  He is getting a little better at controling his emotions.  He loves to ride his bike and goes really fast.  He is really good in Primary.  He sits and listens.  He loves his Sunbeams teacher.

Happy Easter!

We have been spoiled all week by family!  My boys have loved showing off for their relatives.  We have had a great week!  Now that everyone is gone our house seems too quiet.  We decided to take a few Easter pictures before Church.  This is the best we could do.  :)  We are happy that it is Easter and love the reason for celebrating of Easter.  Happy Easter!

We had a blast this week with so much family in town.  My sister, Jenny got married on Friday.  My Mom and sister, Kira came a week early to help out and we also got to play a little.  Everyone else came in on Wednesday and Thursday.  We played so much each of us are exhausted now.  Congrats to Jenny and Tony!
