Crazy week

We started out the week with Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  The kids and I met friends at the park and played all morning.  The kids had a great time.  Evan has played at parks his whole life and is very confident at climbing and sliding.  I know other Mom's are looking out for him, but they really worry when I allow him to climb and play as he pleases.  They always try to hold his hand or help him down a slide when he loves and can do it by himself.  ha ha

On Wednesday disaster struck when I heard terrible noises in the middle of the night.  I was nervous to get up and check it out so I just listened and didn't hear anything else so finally went back to sleep.  Michael was in Arizona.  I woke up to find the fish tank pump was broken and I had 10 gallons of water on my floor.  All the fish died.  I was so sad.  I felt awful telling Michael too. :(

If it is sunny and warm my kids are almost always outside.  They request dinner outdoors whenever possible.  I love that about them!

On this day they wanted to sleep outside, but I only let them pretend sleep out there.  :)

A little Sunshine

We have had like two weeks of cloudy and  cooler weather.  I don't mind the cold, but I like the sun to shine a little.
Dallin had his awards assembly.  He is doing super in school.

The boys have been busy playing indoors when it was rainy and cold.  Lots of tablet and gun time.

The sun finally came out and we had to take advantage.  Leah and Evan love the park!

We went back to the next day too!

Back to normal

We are back and school and work.  The kids are adjusting to being back at school.

Leah started ballet yesterday.  She loved it!  She had a fun time and showed me all of her moved when she got home.  She wanted Dad to take her to ballet becuase according to her, Dad is better at ballet.  :)

We moved Evan to a big boy bed.  He isn't great at staying in the bed, but he doesn't stay in his crib either.  Some day I may have a night where he doesn't come into my room.  ;)

Michael, the boys, and I raced last Saturday.  The boys did a 5K and I did a 10K.  The boys did a great job!  Dallin and Joshua finished 4th and 5th in their age group, which is under 14 years old.  Michael pushed the stroller and finished right after the boys.  He was just running to be a good sport.  I had my best 10K time, so that was fun.

A little Christmas

We decorated our Christmas tree.  Our tree is huge so we had to go out and buy more lights and bulbs.  The kids had fun decorated.

We headed to the Christmas in the Square in our town.  This is how we sled in Texas.

After 8 years of life I got my first Joshua Santa picture.  :)

Dallin and Santa

These two look terrified but I got a photo.

Our tree

Christmas in the Square was so fun.  The kids got light up bracelets and they lit up with the music and the huge tree in the square.  They had snowman building and sledding.
Our Chruch party was fun.  This was the live Nativity.  The kids did great!  We love Christmas season!

Happy Birthday Joshua!

My boy turned 8!  I can't believe it.  I can't be old enough to have an 8 year old.  I remember when he was first born I couldn't wait for him to reach the next milestone, and now I want to stretch each moment just a little bit longer.  We celebrated by bowling with family and eating at Braums.  He is a delight to have in our family.  We are so blessed!  He is so bright and talented!  I will post more pictures when Michael can get the pictures off of his phone.  He said it gives him a headache to download photos so he will do it later.  :)  ha ha

Joshua will be baptized on December 27 and we are excited for him!  He is doing very well in school.  He has had straight a's all year.  He loves hanging with his siblings and science is his favorite subject.  Happy Birthday Joshua we love you!
