Race and Kayaking

All my kids ran the 1K.  They did a great job.  Michael pushed the stroller with Leah and Evan. Joshua and Dallin ran the 5K with me as well.  Joshua fell about half mile in and finished the whole race anyway.  Dallin did his personal best with 29 min.  I was so proud of all of them.  After the boys finished they said they didn't want to do the 1K with Evan and Leah.  They were too tired, but after cooling down a bit the couldn't resist.  :)

My sister Kira purchased a Kayak rental for me for my Birthday.  Michael and I got to use it on Saturday.  My sister Jenny watched my kids.  We had a great time, but we are both a little burned.
It was so relaxing hanging out at the lake for a couple of hours.  Thank you Kira and Jenny for making it possible!

Happy Independence Day!

We went out early to a breakfast early with our Church.

Can't have a 4th of July celebration without watermelon

My kids looking all patriotic

We played at the park and then came home.  We grilled with the Clark and Cruz family, and then went off to fireworks.

Chickasaw National Park

We finally got a camping trip in.  We had a blast.  We got to go with some of my favorite people!
The kids had a blast with the war bag.  Lots of fun!

Sitting around chatting is  always a good time.

A little chess between four year olds.  ;)

We went on a little hike to see the bison.

The kids did great on the hike.

In there somewhere is a bison.

The kids got a hold of the camera and shot some great photos.  :)

We went swimming.  The water was so cold!

It was also very clear.
We played with an airplane.

We ate lots of great food!  Thank you to everyone who made a meal!

We checked out the nature center, and hiked again.

We hiked to the spring where you can fill up your bottles with fresh water to drink.  It was cold and delicious!

The kids lined up and looking cute!

The nature center had a park ranger talking about animal tracks.  The kids enjoyed the presentation.

We had a great time camping!  We have awesome family and friends!  We can't wait to do it again some time after we catch up on sleep!

Summer Fun!

We had the end of soccer season picnic.  Tony coached Joshua's team.  Michael couldn't make it, and he was coach of Dallin's team, so Dallin's team didn't get a picture.  Soccer season was an interesting one due to rain and other issues, but the boys had fun.

Always fun on the slide.

Evan doesn't like bounce houses so he chose to play soccer and football.

Aunt Jenny found a Groupon deal for Dallin's Birthday and we took advantage of it early.  The boys had a blast driving Go Karts.

They keep asking when they can go back.

Bumper boats were a good time too!

We also started swim lessons.  Our goal is to move up to Level 5.  :)  Leah is doing great with her first time in swim lessons.  It is hard to take picture so far away, but she is enjoying it.

We also have some sprinkler fun, while Joshua was at Twilight camp.  It was a busy first week out of school!

Sweet 16X2 and School out for the Summer!

We celebrated my Birthday yesterday with the bloomin' 4 miler.  It was fun!

All the kids did the 1K.  Evan was smiling the whole time he ran.  It was cute.

The kids got a flower for finishing the 1K.

My wonderful sister watched my kids so Michael and I could race, and then she watched them again at night  while Michael and I went to dinner and a movie.  Thank you Jenny!  It was a great Birthday!

Dallin's has the cutest freckles.  He is hanging out waiting for his race to begin.
Beautiful view of the lake while Ry is playing with the beach ball.

Earlier this week Leah took scissors to her hair.
I tried to even it out and make it look a bit more presentable.  She loves her new hair style!

I went to Joshua's awards assembly with Leah and Evan.  They weren't in the mood.  By the time Joshua got his award Evan was crying.  These are looks I received while trying to take a picture of Joshua getting his award.  He is back there behind the staring ladies.  ha ha  The camera would auto focus on them instead of the kids.  I left the assembly early due to my kids.  Not a shining Mom moment for sure.  I didn't bother the people too long I just wanted one pic of Joshua receiving an award and that is when Evan had a huge melt down and we left shortly after.

I got a better picture once we got home.  He got the A honor roll all year and the hardest worker!  I am so proud of my kids.  Dallin finished out a great school year too!  Next year I will have a second and third grader
