Swim Lessons

We started swim lessons.  Dallin has already moved up a level.  They are doing really well.

It has been so hot this week.  We went to wade in the creek.

Well wading turned into swimming.

The boys had the raingutter regatta.  Dallin ended up in third place.

Joshua ended up in first place.

The boys all had a good time.

Today is Father's Day.  We have have some great men in our life.  The kids made Michael breakfast this morning.

First week of summer

We had a fun busy week, and I didn't take very many pictures.  We had some friends come to play on Monday and another set on Wednesday.  The kids enjoyed running around and being crazy with friends.  We filled up our backyard pool and also went to the community pool.

I turned a year older.  Michael made me this delicious cake.

This is from the second to last day of school.  The boys did great and won some great awards.

They both were on honor roll all year long.

The boys also both went to Boy Scout Twilight camp.  They loved it!  They got to shoot BB guns and arrows.  Now that scout camp is over we will move on to swim lessons!

Summer!

Memorial Day we went to the lake.  We have been getting lots of rain lately so the lake was muddy and really full.

The kids had no problem swimming and having fun!

We ate yummy food and had a good time.

All of us got a little burned, so it is the official start of summer.

We came home full of mud, but it was worth it!

We have been getting so much rain.  One day we had 4.5 inches in an hour.  It filled up our street fast from the overflow of the creek.

The creek also reached our back fence in the back yard.  After the rain slowed down it went dropped just as quickly as it rose.

Raytheon had an open house.  The kids had a blast!  We never get to go to Michael's work because security is tight, but they just moved into a new building so they had an open house.  This picture was taken in the STEM room.  They were catapulting balls into waste baskets.  We also made airplanes and got to see how far they would fly.  They provided lunch and a little scavenger hunt for the kids.

Michael showed us the gym as well.  All the kids wanted to test out the equipment.

The kids loved having their own security badges and now they pretend that they work at Raytheon.  It is really cute.

This was the first day of school and we just got out Friday, so I thought it would be fun to compare the first day to the last day. I didn't take a picture on the last day of school but the Raytheon badge picture is from Saturday so close enough.   I think the boys' look hasn't changed much, but they sure have grown and learned lots.

Splash pad fun

We went to the splash pad with friends.  We had a great time!  I got a little burned.  ha ha

Michael made a bed for my Mom.  The best part for my kids is to play in the box.

The bed turned out great!  Michael also had to climb up on our roof and fix the flashing.  He is becoming quite the handy man.!

It has been a little warm and humid.  We have busted out our water fun!

Michael bought this slip and slide while I was gone.  The kids seem to be enjoying it!

We got our first blow out on the interstate.  It was a little scarey.  Leah was crying.  Evan thought it was fun.

Luckily the LBJ interstate service truck came up not long after we pulled over to help.  It was so nice!

I got to do a little hiking with a friend.

We saw some great sites.
We squeezed in some tight spaces.  We had a great time.

The kids had fun practicing soccer since the fields were too wet to practice on after a rain storm.

They got out the cones and everything.  It is fun to watch them get along and play.

Happy Mother's Day

Michael and I have great Mothers and Grandmothers.  We are grateful for all that they have done for us and continue to do for us.

We are blessed that we get to learn from the best and that our Mothers are so amazing!  We love and miss them and can't wait until we get to see them again, hopefully soon!  :)

Dallin did his school project on George Washington Carver.  We had make a replica of him out of water bottle.  Dallin learned a lot more about farming peanuts.

We also did more soccer this weekend as usual.

It is tough waiting around for his siblings to be done with soccer.  lol

End of April Fun

I went out to ice cream with Dallin and he was talking about a book he was reading called Lawn Boy.  He said he wanted to mow the law.  I told Michael and they loved it.

I am sure the fun won't last, but we'll take advantage while it does.

Leah wanted a turn as well.

We took the boys to a Rough Rider game.

We got there early to stock up on the all you can eat hot dogs.

The boys got to stay up way past their bed time.  They loved it!

We aren't great with selfies.

We had awesome seats.  Dallin was disappointed that he didn't catch a foul ball.  Several foul balls went up and over our heads.

It was dog night at the park, so we got to see dogs performing tricks.  The boys loved it!

Evan and Leah got some fun in too.  Aunt Jenny and Uncle Tony took them for the night.  Leah has been chatting non stop about how much fun she had.
