Ray Roberts Camping

We finally snuck away for a quick camp out.  The kids have been begging to go for a long time, but soccer and other obligations were in the way.  We finally decided to skip on some things and just went.
The boys helped cook dinner.  They really enjoyed helping.  It was great how they helped out with this camp out with set up and take down, and cooking.

The kids always have fun with the glow sticks.

I was there too.  I was a little worried camping with Aaron.  He is a curious and determined boy.  I was setting up stuff in the tent and he figured out how to unzip it and get out.  I had to keep him from the lake and the fire.  We all survived.  lol  He went down great at 7:30pm.

The kids love it when Dad tells stories.  They will all sit around and listen to his stories.

Evan loves Marshmallows.  He said it was his favorite things about camping.

They had a kids fish pond we walked too.

The bigger kids went on a little longer hike.

We didn't lose any kids in the pond.

The beach is where the little ones hung out while the bigs kids went on a longer hike.

Aaron was so tired i thought he would sleep in the sand.  lol

We had a great time!

Six Flags

The kids had fun at Six Flags on Saturday with their cousins and friends.

Evan turns out to be quite the dare devil.

The boys spent the night at the Clark's house for Thomas's Birthday and had a great time, and even more fun the next day at Six Flags.

A little time on the train.

Leah enjoyed playing with her friend.

We also count this as part of Joshua Birthday celebration.  It is Raytheon day at Six Flags so it is closed to the general public.  The lines are shorter and the kids love it!

They all came home telling stories about how great it was, and slept in until 7 this morning.  yea!

Fall Festivities

Michael took Evan and Aaron to the Arboretum again.

It was a little colder this time.  They had a good time.

We had our Ward party.  The world is safer with these super heroes. ha ha

They had fun playing games and eating.

We are enjoying the cooler weather.

Aaron could spend all day at the playground.  He is the energizer bunny.

The kids got to dress up on Friday.  Dallin is a pokemon trainer.

Leah is wonder woman.

Joshua is Will from Ranger's Apprentice.  I love that he picked something from a book.

Michael and I went as Sheldon and Amy.

Evan was spiderman
Aaron wasn't a fan of costumes, but he is superman.

The boys went to the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show.  They love it!

They came home with model air planes.

They talk about the show for days afterwards.

They loved playing in the cockpit of the airplane.

This year we actually got the VIP tickets which got them seats.

It so fun to see them excited about airplanes.

We finished up the soccer season on Saturday too.  It was fun to see them grow and learn.  Leah has really taken off.  Evan really enjoyed being part of a team.  He wore his medal around yesterday.  Joshua and Dallin season ended last weekend.

Awards and Half Marathon

Joshua got the Radical Reader award for the first six weeks, which means he had the highest great in reading class.  He also got the silver honor roll.

Dallin got the silver honor roll, and just joined the robotics team.

Joshua had his music program.  It was fun to see them play drums, kazoos, and dance.

This is the 5th grade doing thriller.

Last week was my first half marathon after Aaron.  It was so hotter than I wanted, but I finished.
The first 9 miles were great and than it was awful after that.  I ended up getting a nasty stomach virus that lasted several days.  It has hit Aaron, and now Michael is not getting through it.  It really knocks you out for a couple of days.  I hope it ends at Michael.

Evan loves Sina.  He goes outside to hang out with this cat.  Apparently all of our neighbors feed the cat too.

Aaron is pretty impressive with dribbling the soccer ball.  He loves to play with soccer balls.  It is hard to keep him off of the field during games and practices.

We had our primary program today.  The kids did great!  Evan sang really loud.  Joshua only has one more and he is done.  Serving in Primary is pretty great!

Pumpkin Patch

We headed to the arboretum a couple of weeks ago.

The kids seem to enjoy themselves.

The theme this year was Wizard of Oz.  It was cute.  We followed the yellow brick road.

Aaron wasn't thrilled about pics.

Evan tried to smile.  ha ha

Cute boys at the arboretum.

 I was there too.

Poor Aaron got sick last night, but yesterday he was happy and running around the trampoline.
