Merry Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas. We had a White Christmas! It was so amazing. It started to snow on Christmas Eve and stayed until the afternoon of Christmas. The boys got to play outside in the snow for a little while. It came at the perfect time, my sister Jenny flew out from a recent job interview in Dallas the day before the snow so it worked out perfectly. We had a good time visiting with Jenny and hope she gets to come and live down South with us!
The boys got their stockings first, where they each got matchbox cars and toothbrushes among other small things

We skyped with my family in Nevada. They got to watch the boys open presents and then we watched them open some. It felt just about as close as you can get to being home. It was fun. Thanks Jen for the web cam to make it all possible. We love our family so much and they helped make our Christmas great. Thanks to everyone who gave us gifts, we love and appreciated all of them.

The boys got a tent and tunnel this keeps them really busy they go around and around. Joshua even took his nap in the tent.

My boys got some really fun toys, lots of cars, tractors and things that go. They also got some really cute clothes!

I just had to show off my new table cloth and napkins. I love it! On Christmas day we had Uncle David and his family over for dinner. It was great! We really enjoyed spending time with them, and was glad the food turned out ok. :)

We hope everyone had a great Christmas, we sure did. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!

Christmas Decor

This the best picture I have taken of the boys in a long time together. They don't usually cooperate for me. They are even all cute and ready for Church. I love my boys so much. They are getting so big and so cute. I love how Dallin is talking more and Joshua is getting better at his alphabet. I love how they play so well together (most of the time). I feel so blessed!
Michael got in with the boys since they were somewhat cooperative with taking pictures on Sunday. I think Michael needs a sweater vest in this pictures. :) This is also the longest Michael has gone with a beard. What do you think, should he keep it or shave it off?
Michael put up the lights outside our house. He is very proud and feels like we aren't the only ones on the block without lights. He wants to put up more but we are lacking in extension cords. I think it looks good enough. The boys just like the lights.

What is better than taking a picture with Santa Claus?

A picture with a Police Officer!
He refused to go near Santa without Michael or I, but a police officer is safe. He chatted with the officer for a while. We are grateful for Policemen. That is my boy!We pretty much had to force this picture. The boys were terrified of Santa. This was at our neighborhood Christmas party. They provided a great lunch and fun games. We live in a great neighborhood.

Joshua's Birthday Cake

For the Grandparents, family, and friends who couldn't be here. We love and miss you!

Joshua's Birthday

Joshua had friends over in the morning. We just played and had a little lunch and cake. Joshua has wonderful friends who gave him wonderful things. He loved everything he received. He couldn't sleep because he just wanted to play with his new toys!

You can't really tell in this picture, but there is snow falling! Yeah for snow! It didn't last long but it was a fun gift.
Joshua received great gifts from his friends and family. We are so blessed to have so many great friends.

Michael really wanted to make the cake and decorate it. This is what it ended up looking like. He did a great job, and Joshua had a wonderful day.

Joshua also just had his three year well child check up. He is doing great and is an average three year old height and wieght. He is 37 1/2 inches tall and weighs 33 lbs.

Thanksgiving and the Day After

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We set up our Christmas tree, so we had something pretty to look at while we ate dinner. We had some friends over to eat with us. We had five cute boys running around. The food was so great! Everything turned out so good.
Needless to say after we got the tree up and looking just the way we wanted it, the boys stripped it of its ornaments and has knocked it down several times.
Dallin can strip the tree in a matter of seconds. I am not sure how he does it so fast. The tree has been in time out at least once and since then we haven't had to redo the whole thing.
The boys had a great time during Thanksgiving. They didn't eat that much, so we figure next year we will do it during their nap time so all of us adults can enjoy the meal. :) After we ate we watched football and played a little Mario Kart. We are so grateful for our family and friends who we missed dearly on Thanksgiving, we are also grateful to have friends over for Thanksgiving. We are very blessed!
Michael decided he would try out Black Friday shopping he went to Toys R Us first and was scared away by the thousands of people outside. He went back later in the morning and was able to pick up a few things. Meanwhile I went to a garage sale across the street and bought a wet vac for $2 and nice big chest for $2, a dresser for $20, and this beautiful oak table for $200. We scored big. Our neighbor is getting married and moving so she was really trying to get rid of everything. The tables has two leaves and can seat eight comfortably. Michael had to convince me to buy the table, but we won't find a better deal on an oak table than that. I have now moved our Formica table out to the garage and put the canner on it. It should work out great! We were also happy to have our friends help us rake our leaves and carry this table over on Friday. We are so blessed!

Bathroom Redone

We still have the finishing touches with paint, add a few pictures and stuff, but here is the before followed by the after. We had a lot of fun remodeling the bathroom and learned a lot. Thanks to our wonderful friends who did it for us and showed us how to do some things as well. We are loving it.
