Camping in New Mexico West Style

We met up with Michael's siblings that live in Arizona.  We had a great time!  I love that everyone was willing to drive so far to get there.  It was well worth it for us!  We traveled through two severe thunderstorms,  and as we camped we had two severe thunderstorms come through.  Ha ha we thought we were in a desert.  Poor Paul had to set up camp like three times due to the weather.  We were lucky enough to have our tent hold.

Evan did great.  He hung out with me most of the time.  Brianna is expecting a baby in couple months.  You can see her tiny bump below.  She did great camping in the desert pregnant.

We walked down to the lake and had to throw rocks in.  Paul had to show off with this big rock.  ;)

The campground had a nice covered playground.  We had fun there.

Evan did awesome!  He is a great baby!  It was too hot to sleep in the tent so he was with me most of the time.

We also played at the lake.  We took out our rafts.  We had a great time swimming and playing in the water.

In Carlsbad they have the Pecos river flowing through town.  They walled off a section and have lifeguards.  We had a good time playing in the river as well.

The three 2 year old cousins.  They started to play together the last two days.  It was fun to get them together.

The girls playing in our van.    We had to put sunscreen on every few hours, so despite having showers at the campground the girls had greasy hair.  :)

This is the last day camping. We survived!  We had a great time.  I love all of Michael's family.  It is so fun to get together with them.  We're talking about making it a yearly tradition.
Michael, Paul, and Nicole had an awesome light saber fight.  I didn't have my camera handy, but I know others got pictures.  It was fun to see them play together.  :)  It was fun to talk with Nicole, Andrew, Brianna, and Paul. I lucked out having great in-laws!  :)

Camping with the Scouts

On Mother's Day weekend Michael had a scout camp out.  The boys have been wanting to camp for a while.  Michael arranged it so they could go, and then decided he was going to take Leah too.

All the kids returned in one peice but they all caught the stomach bug. Leah was the first to get sick and then the rest followed.  Poor Michael had to deal with that on the camp out.  He said the kids did really well despite Leah getting sick.

Family Pictures

Jessica took our family photos a few weeks ago.  She did a fabulous job!  We gave them to our Moms for Mother's Day.  Michael and I are blessed with awesome Moms!  We love you and appreciate you!  I've been spoiled for Mother's day here.  Joshua made me a cute magnet with paper and and pen on it.  Michael and the kids got me cake and a food processor.  I am lucky to have such great kiddos and an awesome husband!

Bowling

We went bowling last weekend with the kids.  We had a good time.  Dallin and Joshua really enjoy it.  They are getting pretty good too.  Tony and Jenny met us at the bowling alley since they live just up the street.  I bowled about as good as my kids.  :)  Michael won.

Evan 2 Months!

I was trying to get a size comparison of Evan versus his cousin Oliver.  Evan wasn't cooperating.  He kept moving all over the place.  They are about a month a part in age, and both super cute boys!

Evan had his 2 month  check up today.
He is 11 1/2 pounds 30th percentile
24 1/4 in 95th percentile

It is hard to catch smiles at this age on camera.  I know they are blurry but I was excited to get a smile with the camera on.  He usually likes looking at the camera instead of me when I'm taking pictures.

He is doing great and growing well. He is a calm and happy baby.  We are blessed to have him!

My Cute Kids

Babies grow up so fast, and change so much.  Evan is getting so long.  He is a great addition to our family.

The kids love to hold Evan.  Dallin can be very helpful holding Evan when I have to tie a show or help Leah.  :)

Leah is doing great.  She learning her alphabet and can count to 3.  She is listenting a little better and she is so adorable.  She loves to pick out her own clothes and accesories.

Joshua is looking forward to summer break and is doing great in school.  He is reading pretty good and doing awesome in math.  He loves PE and recess the best.  :)

Dallin is a sweetheart.  He will hold Leah's hand when we cross a street, he hates it when Evan cries and tries to help him calm down, and loves to hold the door open for me.  He is starting to read and excited about starting Kindergarten next year.

I am blessed with some awesome kids!  I love them so much!
