Team Thunder and Team Wolverine!

The boys played their first soccer game yesterday! The rain held off until they were done, so it was perfect.

Joshua is the one of the smallest on his team.  He has first through third graders on his team.  They are working on passing and staying spread out.

Dallin's division is so cute!  It is not uncommon for them to step back and let a kid kick the ball.  They are all so sweet.  Joshua's division is a little more intense.  :)

Dallin was a little shy, but with time I am sure he will be in the action more.

Joshua had a good time, he loves running around.

Joshua won the sportmanship award at the end of the game and Dallin won the Christ like award.  We are in a Christian soccer league.  You gotta love Texas for that!  ha ha

Leah's a big girl!

This week Leah decided she was done with diapers.  The first day was terrible!  I thought I was going to have to squash her desire, but she proved me wrong the second day.  She has been pretty good ever since.  We have gone to library, church, and the park accident free!  She still has trouble at night, but during the day she is great!  She is so happy to wear her pretty undies.  :)

Evan is cutting another tooth so he has been cranky.  Leah potty training and a cranky kid made for a long week.  Now Dallin was up all night sick.  Poor kiddo!  He has been sleeping all morning, so I am hoping he is better by tomorrow.  The boys are starting soccer on Tuesday so they will get a post just about them soon!

Quiet at home

I thought it would be so easy when my big boys went to school.  ha ha It is not as easy as I thought it would be.  My big boys are great at entertaining the little ones without even trying.  My boys have great imaginations.  The little one are doing great at home.  We have been to the park and Arboretum.  We play dolls, balls, and lots of blocks.  It is also nice to have an hour to myself in the middle of the afternoon during nap time.

I love the joy of their faces in this picture.

Leah was "reading" to Evan.  Cute!

Evan is so happy!  He just cut his first tooth and is now crawling!  I am usually not so nostalgic about these things, but for some reason this one caught me off guard and it kind of makes me sad.  He is getting big so fast!

Labor Day and other happenings..

These are the faces of Evan when I try to give him something other than milk.  Crazy kid.  I have never had a kid who did not like food.  Oh well, cheaper for me, and easier diapers.  :)

I raced on Saturday.  It was 5 miler.  It felt great!  I love running in the Fall.  The boys ran as well.  They are so fast!

We got a new AC system on Friday.  I took Leah and Evan to Aunt Jenny's house to beat the heat while they were installing.  Aunt Jenny left her make up out and Leah decided to take advantage.  Crazy girl!  I felt bad.  She decided to use the mascara on the toilet as well.

On Labor Day we went to the Lake.  We had a grea time!  The weather was perfect!

We had lots of family and a few friends eat and play in the lake with us.

It was a nice relaxing day!  The boys loved the lake and swam for hours!

Evan Half Birthday!

Evan had his half Birthday last Wedesday.  He had his check up today,so I waited to post this until I could give you the official stats.  He is 18 1/2 pounds, and 28 inches tall.  He is growing so fast.  He is sitting up all by himself for long periods of time.  He scoots and rolls where he wants to go.  He is getting up on all fours and rocking so he must be getting ready to crawl in the next few months.  Evan does not like food yet.  It is weird all of my other babies have been eating solids by now, but he has no interest. He is obivously still growing and healthy.  :)

He is a deight.  He has been sleeping so much better since we got back from vacation. He is so happy and easy going.  We love him so much.

South Dakota Fun!!!

On the second day we headed out to Mount Rushmore.  We packed a picnic lunch and headed out.

There was teepee to look in, and we saw a mountain goat.

It started to rain a little but we stopped for a picnic anyway.

We drove on Needle highway.  It is beautiful!  We stopped and played at Lake Sylvan.

We hiked around and saw a waterfall from the top and the bottom.

We also did some rock climbing.  The kids did really well with the climbing.

We also did some fishing.  Grandpa and the boys each caught fish.

We went to the County fair and enjoyed the tractor pull and catch a sheep.  The kids also enjoyed looking at the 4H animals.
