Kid Update

Joshua was JFK in his school preformance.  He did a great job with his line.  He now loves JFK.  We have read many books, and I have watched lots of YouTube videos of his speeches.  He now wants to be President one day.  He loved how he had secret service to protect him and how everyone had to stand when he walked in a room.

The preformance was great, and it was fun to go and see all of their hard work.

Leah is working hard at home with me.  We have been working really hard at writing our letters.  She is still loving ballet and shows me many dances that she makes up.  She also loves to comb my hair.  She plays well with her brothers and loves to sing.

Dallin is doing well in school.  He is reading very well.  He is starting soccer soon and is looking forward to it.  He loves playing videos games and playing with legos.  I just got put in on the executive PTA Board at his school, so Dallin gets to see me at school more often.

My baby is turning two soon.  He is sleeping in a twin bed and talking a lot more.  He is getting big so fast. He still loves to cuddle.  He loves to play with cars and action figures.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Joshua worked hard on his project for school.  He had to recreat the WWII Memorial.  I think he did a pretty good job.  He will be in his first play on Tuesday.  I am excited to see how he does.

I made heart shape pizza for Valentine's Day!

The kids got plenty of candy. Michael got me a nice gift and made delicious cheesecake.  I got a Michael and little something and made the pizza.  All in all and not a bad day.

Leah and Evan went to a Birthday party with me on Saturday.  Leah had a blast in the bounce house.  Evan wouldn't go near the thing.  I forced him in once when it was empty but he wouldn't let me go.  He only enjoyed jumping when I was holding him.  Evan ended up getting sick afterwards.  I think perhaps an overload of sugar.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Leah's Birthday!

Leah had her Golden Birthday!  She turned 4 on the fourth!  She is spunky, smart, and a joy to be around.  She can hang tough with the boys while wearing pink and tiara.  She is very helpful!  We sure do love her!  Wednesday is rough day for a Birthday around here so we celebrated Saturday.  She did open her gifts on her Birthday at 6:30AM when we'd all be home.
Leah is a such a happy girl!  We love her so much!
Leah loves ballet right now and asked for a ballet cake.

On Saturday morning the boys and I raced while Dad and Leah did ballet.  Even Evan ran this time.  He did pretty good.

I had a good time hanging with my boys!

Leah wanted to play at the park for her Birthday, so that is what we did.

Some friends and family came to play and eat with us too!

Thank you for everyone who helped make Leah's Birthday special!

Leah really wanted two of her friends there, and that was Noah and Thomas.  She really does love those two boys!

The kids had a great time at the park!

Fun with cousins and school projects

We got to play at park with cousins.  We had a good time hanging out with Thomas and Oliver.  We also got to celebrate Oliver's Birthday on Saturday.  We had fun and got to hold Michael's newest nephew!  He is so adorable!

It has been a struggle with time and weather to get in my runs.  After a run I try to reward Evan and Leah with fun.  This day we threw rocks in the creek.  They had a great time.  Evan insited on running the last 100 meters back to the car.  He was so cute and looked so intent.  I loved it!  :)

We have been busy helping with school projects.  This one is Dallin's.  He did a report on Jesse Owens.  We are working on a big one for Joshua as well, but it isn't anywhere near done.

We are keeping busy and having fun!

Crazy week

We started out the week with Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  The kids and I met friends at the park and played all morning.  The kids had a great time.  Evan has played at parks his whole life and is very confident at climbing and sliding.  I know other Mom's are looking out for him, but they really worry when I allow him to climb and play as he pleases.  They always try to hold his hand or help him down a slide when he loves and can do it by himself.  ha ha

On Wednesday disaster struck when I heard terrible noises in the middle of the night.  I was nervous to get up and check it out so I just listened and didn't hear anything else so finally went back to sleep.  Michael was in Arizona.  I woke up to find the fish tank pump was broken and I had 10 gallons of water on my floor.  All the fish died.  I was so sad.  I felt awful telling Michael too. :(

If it is sunny and warm my kids are almost always outside.  They request dinner outdoors whenever possible.  I love that about them!

On this day they wanted to sleep outside, but I only let them pretend sleep out there.  :)

A little Sunshine

We have had like two weeks of cloudy and  cooler weather.  I don't mind the cold, but I like the sun to shine a little.
Dallin had his awards assembly.  He is doing super in school.

The boys have been busy playing indoors when it was rainy and cold.  Lots of tablet and gun time.

The sun finally came out and we had to take advantage.  Leah and Evan love the park!

We went back to the next day too!

Back to normal

We are back and school and work.  The kids are adjusting to being back at school.

Leah started ballet yesterday.  She loved it!  She had a fun time and showed me all of her moved when she got home.  She wanted Dad to take her to ballet becuase according to her, Dad is better at ballet.  :)

We moved Evan to a big boy bed.  He isn't great at staying in the bed, but he doesn't stay in his crib either.  Some day I may have a night where he doesn't come into my room.  ;)

Michael, the boys, and I raced last Saturday.  The boys did a 5K and I did a 10K.  The boys did a great job!  Dallin and Joshua finished 4th and 5th in their age group, which is under 14 years old.  Michael pushed the stroller and finished right after the boys.  He was just running to be a good sport.  I had my best 10K time, so that was fun.
