Happy Birthday Evan and Blue and Gold

Joshua had the Blue and Gold banquet on Wednesday.  It was Star Wars themed.  He loved it.  The leaders did a great job with everything.

Joshua got his awards.  We played lots of games and there was even a photo booth.  Good times!

We celebrated Evan's Birthday on Saturday.  He wanted to play at the creek.  Friends of mine gave us a rock pick for Christmas.  The boys loves playing with it in our backyard.

Evan was so excited to play by the creek.  I only allow them to go down with an adult, so we don't do it every day.  He loves to throw rocks into the creek.

We had family over for dinner and  cake.  He loved all of his presents!

He wanted to play with each one as he opened them.

He was so excited for his cake.  When I asked what he wanted for his Birthday, he would tell me chocolate cake.  He watched me make it and had to eat lunch by his cake.  He would go back and check on it.  ha ha so cute, if only they stayed this easy to please.

Evan is three today.  I can't believe my baby is three.  He loves cars and trains.  He will play dolls a little with Leah.  He is learning about colors.  He talks a lot, and still learning to control his emotions.  He can get pretty angry without a nap.  He loves naps.  On Friday I woke him up at 3pm so he would sleep at night and he refused to get out of bed until 4.  He is such a silly boy.  He loves to put things together like train tracks and his hot wheel tracks.  He loves to go on runs with me in the stroller.  We sure do love him!  Happy Birthday Evan!

Hats off!

Michael had a painting class this weekend.  He is really enjoying them.  I hope his attendees enjoy them too.

Dallin had his play, Hats off to America.  He was representing the Navy.

He did a great job standing tall and not moving.

The flag folding ceremony was so sweet and they gave a flag to a Veteran.

It is so fun to see you're kid do well and grow up.  It was fun to watch him.

Valentine's Day

Dallin had his WW2 project due this week.  He picked the same project as Joshua, so we had to get creative.  Last year we did it out of styrofoam and this year we did it out of wood.

He had a little trouble carrying it on the bus, but he made it to school.

We got a treadmill for Valentine's day!  I love it!  It will be great for those weeks when Michael is out of town.  Michael and I also went out to eat and the movies.  The kids got a little something from us for Valentines day.  I also did the second grade class party.  We survived another class party.  ha ha

The weather has been awesome!  We went down to the park on Friday night.  The kids and Michael were playing 500 and Red Light Green Light.  It is so fun to watch everyone play.

Leah and Evan weren't into 500 so they were figuring out funky ways to go down the slide and had several other kids join them.

Leah's Birthday and Race Day

We celebrated Leah's Birthday when it was nice and warm outside last weekend.  This weekend it was cloudy and cool.
Leah was into unicorns for her Birthday this year so she got a unicorn pillow pet.

We couldn't blow out candles at the park last week due to the wind, so we did it on her Birthday with brownies.

We also had the 100th day of school.  Joshua had to decorate a cape with a 100 things.  He wanted a 100 storm troopers.  We printed and Joshua cut out 100 storm troopers and arranged them to look like a storm trooper on his cape.

We raced on Saturday.  We had a good run.

Dallin was so happy to beat me by a few seconds at the end.

Leah, Evan, and Rylan doing the kids race.

They had a good time!  I love going to races with my family!

Pinewood Derby and Leah's Party

Joshua participated in his first Pinewood Derby!  He did great!

He won lots of his matches!

Leah and Evan loved watching the cars go down.

All the scouts with their cars!  They are a great group of boys!

We celebrated Leah's Birthday a week early.  It was a beautiful 70 degree day, so we couldn't pass the  day up!  She wanted to play at the park for her Birthday again this year.

Leah wanted a unicorn cake, and this was what Michael and I came up with.
The park was a little windy, but we made it work

Leah loved all of her gifts!

I can't believe Leah will be 5 on Thursday!  Time flies.

Leah is a great girl!  She is kind and loving.  She is helpful.  She loves the color pink and is into unicorns right now.  She is excited about starting school this Fall.  She is starting to read a little, and loves to draw.  She did great on her first test to get into a magnet school.  She has one more on February 8, to see if she qualifies.

STEAM Night

Michael was in Arizona all week.  We had a busy one.

Leah wanted me to have the same hair style as she did.  We were twins for the day.

Evan hung out all week in his undies.  ha ha  We still have about one accident a day.  We are on day 5, so hopefully it will be no accidents soon.

The boys had STEAM night.  I felt like I took two dates to the prom and had to figure out a plan to be two places at once.  Dallin project was building the biggest tower with marshmallow and spaghetti.  We did ok.  I had to build and run over to help Joshua, so I missed out on the rebuilding part.  Sorry Dallin.

Joshua had to make a balloon powered car.  We had a hard time getting our wheels to go straight, but it was fun.  I survived the night.  I had to run Evan and Leah back and forth between the gym and cafeteria.  ha ha  Crazy night.

Yesterday we were asked to speak to the youth of our Church about dating.  Since we had to get a babysitter I figured we may as well eat out.  I got Michael to try Thai food.  It was a cute family owned restaurant.  We also went to Birthday parties and baby showers.  It was a busy week!

Taking it Easy

We haven't done anything too exciting lately.  We have been working on puzzles.

Leah likes to use the fireplace as her stage and do shows for us.

Operation is the game of choice for our kids lately.

Leah comes up with some crazy outfits.  I will usually let her wear them if we aren't going anywhere, but I try to convince her to change if we go somewhere.  We got Leah tested to  see if we can get her in the magnet school.  Our fingers are crossed, but you never know how or if she will answer questions from strangers.  :)

We play lots of Doctor.

The boys were on the honor roll again.  They have been playing on the trampoline and running around.  We have STEAM night and lots of projects to come.
