Air Shows

My kids went to the Fort Worth Alliance Air show a couple of weeks ago.  Michael took everyone but the baby.  The baby and I stayed home.  The kids loved the air show.
Evan didn't want to get out of the stoller much

It was a little windy so not all of the tricks could be performed.

Joshua and Dallin are still very much into planes.

Joshua just did a report on the inventor of the jet plane.

Yesterday we went to the Wings Over Dallas Pearl Harbor Reeaactment

They had a WWII camp set up.  You can look in the tents and medic tent.  It was really neat.

They had jeeps and a tank to look at as well.

We ran into Uncle David and his family there.  It was fun!

The air show was so neat.  They had to WWII vets actually there to tell the story themselves.

They had fake bombs and everything.

Now that we are home Joshua is back to watching WWII documentaries.  ha ha

We had a great time and it was neat experience.

Blessing Day

Aaron was blessed last week.  It was a wonderful day.  Jessica took our family picture afterwards.  I really appreciate her talent!

All the men who helped bless the baby.  I appreciate all of our family!
Aaron is doing pretty well.  He goes down at night between 7-9 and sleeps until around 2 or 3 am.  He is then up again around 5 am.  My older kids are up at 6, so I have spent lots of mornings up by 5.  He still won't nurse so we are exclusively pumping.  It is a learning curve and time suck for sure.  He is worth though.  ;)  He is starting to smile and coo at us.

Joshua is doing really well in school.  We are working on him being a bit more organized.  We have had some weekends where he tells us he thinks a project is due and we haven't even heard about it. Joshua's ELA teacher says she has him explain things to the kids when they don't get stuff.  He also has always had terrible handwriting, so she is making him type everything.  He likes it that way as well. He loves math and a science.  He made the honor roll.  Joshua also joined honor choir.  He is loving it.

Leah is growing up so fast.  She is so helpful and loving.  She is doing well in school and tested well on her first MAPs test.  The kindergarten teacher says she is a great example to all of the kids.  Leah loves to draw.  She draws or colors things constantly.  It must be the influence of the Clark family or Michael.  ;)  Leah was Top Cat for the first six weeks.

Evan is learning his letters.  He loves doing workbook time with me.  He is weaning off his afternoon nap.  He loves Aaron, almost too much.  It drives me crazy when he wants to play with the baby but the baby is sleeping and he decides to yell "Wake up baby!"  He is loves to help me in the kitchen watching me cook or getting things from the pantry.

Dallin is doing great in school as well.  He made the honor roll as well. He is very organized in school and keeps an agenda.  He works hard on all of his homework.  He is always willing to lend a helping hand without being asked.

We are blessed with some great kids!

This weeks happenings

More soccer.  The boys team lost this week.

The weather is a little cooler which was so nice!

Leah has really improved this year.  She scored three goals.  She hangs in there with the best.

Aaron is one month old.  He is growing great.

I completely forgot about women's conference so this is how I watched it.  ha ha.

Aaron looking all cute for church.

Sleeping babies are so sweet.

We also had fun at my nephew's birthday party.  Potato sack races are great!

Fall Soccer

Soccer has begun again.  The boys did great in their game.  Dallin scored a goal and the whistle blew right before Joshua got his in.

Yesterday was so hot.  I can't wait until Fall temps come.

Leah scored two goals.  She has improved quite a bit.  She is really starting to enjoy it.

This baby is growing!  Around three weeks I usually start getting my groove back.  We have been a little slower this time.  I have had to deal with mastitis and this baby's tongue tie has made him not want to nurse.  I have been pumping and bottle feeding, which feels like twice the work.  ha ha He is super sweet and usually not very fussy.  The kids love him.

Labor Day

I am a day later than usual, but  I did make it to Church yesterday with all five kids.  I think that should count for something.  ha ha

The kids went to the Labor Day Parade

They had fun with flags and their cousins.

They even grew some facial hair.

After the parade everyone came back here for a little BBQ lunch.  We had a wonderful Monday off.

Aaron is already 9.5 pounds.  He is growing strong.

Poor baby got his tongue clipped today.  I probably should have done it two weeks ago, but I wasn't sure that was what my nursing problem was.

He did great at the dentist.  He had a severe anterior tongue tie and a posterior tongue tie.  He also had a stage 3 lip tie.  The dentist took a laser and clipped all of them off.  Aaron's mouth looks so much bigger now.  I was able to nurse him for a bit, but he still has to learn to use his tongue some more.  They said there was no way he would have been able to latch with all of those ties, so I feel better, that there was at least a reason he wasn't nursing.

Aaron is here!

The reason for my delay in blogging last week.  Exhaustion.  ha ha

I went into labor at night again.  I was already tired from a cold I was trying to get over.  This was the earliest my baby has ever come!

Midwives are awesome!  They are so helpful and positive.  Michael did a great job too!

Baby came right before 6 AM.  I wanted a peaceful water birth, but I was so done laboring and exhausted.  I did give birth in water but I was loud like they show on TV.  ha ha  I wasn't that way with Evan.  Oh well, baby made it with no problems.

He weighed in at  8lbs 14 ounces.  20 1/2 inches long.  Head was 13 1/2 circumference.

He doesn't cry too much and the kids love him.

The only issue we had was placenta took an hour to come out.  The midwives had called the ambulance to come transfer me.  Michael gave me a blessing at the suggestion of one of the midwives and then the placenta came out as I heard the approaching sirens.  We sure are blessed and I was so grateful that I didn't have to go anywhere.  We were all thanking God after that.

Evan adores the baby.  He loves to kiss the baby and is a a great big brother.

Leah enjoys the baby as well.  She likes to pick out his outfits.

Joshua helps out when I need it.  He is a great big brother.

Dallin loves holding the baby.  He is so glad there is another boy in the house.  ha ha

Aaron is back up to birth weight already and doing pretty good.

He only cries when he is in need of something.

Sleeping newborns are so peaceful.
