Party fun

This weekend we played soccer and then headed to the Clark house to celebrate Dustin's Birthday.  I hardly took any pictures this weekend.  We ate and had a good time with the Clarks.
Next we headed to celebrate Jacob's Birthday.  The kids had a great time.

The weather cooled down this week.  It is so nice to not to be in the 90s.  I decided to retry my half marathon with cooler temps and it was a success!  It was so much easier!  ha ha

Racing again and Conference

The boys and I raced this weekend.  Joshua ran the mile and Dallin and I did a 5k.

Dallin ran it fast and got another pr.  He is just over an 8 minute pace now.  He finished first place in his division.  Joshua finished first in the mile in his age as well.

I finished first in my age group as well.  Most of the runners did the 15K which allowed me to get first in my age group.  ha ha

We hurried home and to watch conference and comfortably I guess.  ha ha

We love watching conference.

Leah got to stay up late and watch the women's conference this year.  We had my sisters over and ate some treats and watched the conference.

Birthday parties and more of the same.

Aaron and I went on a 7 1/2 mile run.  We stopped in the middle to look at the ducks and play at the pond.

It is still so hot here.  I can't wait until it cools off a little.

We partied with the Cruz family.  They celebrated Thiago and Sariah Birthday.  We had a great time.

I liked the look of Leah's headband.

Leah was invited to a paintballing party.  She was so excited to go.  She has a few welts but had a great time.

We are still playing soccer every Saturday.  Leah's team has really improved, and Evan's team is doing great as well.

FHE and TDF

We had a Ward FHE.  It was fun.  We talked about how diligence.  As an activity we had races.

The kids and adults had a great time.

Afterward we all just played at the park.

Dallin is learning his instrument.  The baritone is a best.  Watching him walk home from the bus stop with that looks painful.  ha ha

I ran the Arboretum Tour de Fleur half marathon.  This one is especially challenging due to the heat.

The Petersons are friends of ours and they ran the quarter marathon.  I met up with them at the end.

I worked hard and improved on my 5k and 10K times, but flopped yesterday.  I am still proud of all of the work I put in.  I finished each mile, but my lungs didn't enjoy the last 5 miles.  ha ha.   Oh well, I will attempt again not in the summer.  :)

Labor Day and Soccer Begins

We had a relaxing Labor Day.  We went to the lake in the morning and hung out in the afternoon at home.

We had fun a the lake.  Lots of sand and it was hot!

The kids can touch pretty far into the lake so they had a nice big area to play in.

Soccer started on Saturday.  Leah and Evan are both playing

They both did a great job!  It was a hot day.

Both teams ended in a tie.

Leah scored a beautiful goal.
Michael coaches Leah's team.  He is such a good Dad to step up like that.  We sure do appreciate him.

These two were getting along and playing great yesterday.  Sometimes you have to document it.  Evan has had a hard time adjusting to going to school and finally I think he is doing much better.  Also I came down with the stomach bug early on in the week.  The kids and Michael did a great job stepping up and helping me out for a day.  The bug got about half of us so I hope we are done now and ready to be healthy.  :)

Welcome to the world

My sister had her baby.  It is so amazing to witness a new life coming into the world.

We also helped take care of  Sariah and Thiago.

We played at the park and rode bikes.  Michael took them to the fish store.

It also rained so we had to take time to to dance in the rain.

Kira got a pool.  We went over while they were filling it up.  The kids had a great time.
Evan has a new skill.  He is riding on just two wheels!

Happy Birthday Aaron!

Aaron had some fun with cousins at the Arboretum.

It has been pretty hot so it is nice to cool off in creek.

Aaron turned 3 this week.  He had lots of cousins over.  We played in the pools.  He had a great time.

We had two full tables.  Grandma and Grandpa West came for the blessing of our newest niece so it was fun to have them around for Aaron's Birthday.

He loved all of his gifts.  This morning he is still squealing with excitement for all of his gifts.

He has a batman blanket he loves and so we made a batman cake.  He really loved being the center of attention.  We loved having everyone here for his Birthday.
