Big Boy Underwear

We went to the store today to get Joshua his big boy underwear. He picked our Car themed underwear of course. He demanded that we put them on the second we got home, and he would not let the other two pairs of underwear out of sight. He hauled them all over the house. He is so funny! I wish I could read thoughts sometimes.
I wanted to show everyone how Dallin is scooting around the floor. It is funny and looks like a lot of effort so I am hoping it will turn into a real crawl in the next month or so. He started scooting so early I feel like, but it takes him every where he wants to go. He is just so cute. Here is a little preview of what he does.

I was putting Dallin down for his nap and could hear Joshua making all kinds of noises in the dining room. I went in and found this. He is going to drive bus. I thought it was funny.

Oh so Proud!

Not that this will happen next week, or the week after, but my boys made it through Sacrament meeting on Sunday without toys or snacks! I was so proud. We didn't have to leave once! We also got to go home right after the meetings which was great! Michael found a ride home with someone else. It was a pretty good Sunday!

Plans Falling Through

This weekend I was trying to make plans for Michael and I to go on a date or go to the Temple. Things didn't work out like I wanted them to. He has to work Saturday and then has meetings. This seems to be the pattern for us when we try to make plans, a date, or try to go to the temple. I thought I might share some of our more memorable ones, so next anyone else has plans that fall through you know you are not alone, and you can laugh with us at our past stories.

Our Engagement
When Michael was going to propose his original plan was to drive up to Mesa Falls and hike around then propose. The morning of the big day Michael got a flat tire on his car, so all he had was the donut to drive on. I dropped a drawer on my foot, so it wasn't in the best walking condition. It had also rained and rained so Michael was afraid of getting stuck out there. He finally decided on lunch then the city park. He asked me where I wanted to go for lunch, not knowing that he was going to pop the question that day, I suggested this cheap fast food place that was offering a bag of burgers cheap. All in all we had a romantic bag of burgers and a proposal in the park. :)

Our Honeymoon
Michael planned for us to spend a few days in Jackson Hole and then go to Utah for a few days. He wanted to take me to Lagoon. I love amusement parks. Well, things went well in Jackson, but on our way to Utah I got a painful Migraine. It was a killer. The next day I was feeling better we drove to Lagoon and it was closed! haha Who knew Lagoon closed in the middle of August. :)

Dallin's Birth
I had planned for my sister to come for two weeks, so that she could see the baby. I was told that I would have a C section if it go too close to my due date, since I have large babies. I planned for my Mom to be here for the birth and a week after to help out. Well, it turned out that the OR was booked until July 17, which was ten days after my due date. I went into labor three days before that and all went well, but I had it planned so well I was sure my Mom and Sister were going to see and play with the baby. My Mom had to extend her visit by a week, and it all worked out in the end. :)

Update on Livingroom and the Boys

I have been trying to get one room decorated. The living room is the closest. These pictures are for you Kira, to show you that I have made progress. :)
Our living room was in need of more color. We finally got more pictures hung up. We got the bookshelves quite a while ago, and they really helped add a different color other than beige and white. :) I also got Michael to start sketching again. He sketched a really cute picture of Joshua that I will hang up. My Aunt Lori got me a really great family tree which is not on this wall, so it didn't make the picture. I love it.
We also have curtains now thanks to Benjamin and Liesl. I like having a little bit more color to the living room. I know most people would have picked up their living room before showing pictures, but this is how it is real life. :) We still plan on putting up another fan in the living room, and one day when we come into more money getting a new tv and entertainment center.
As for the last few weeks the boys have been great. I was really sick on Tuesday night. Joshua and Dallin did great with Mom out of commission. Joshua is taking directions a lot better now. He is communicating better everyday it seems. He has been riding his bike outside with our neighbor. It is cute they will ride in circles in our driveway. Our neighbor just turned six so he has regular bike, but just likes to have someone to play with. Our neighbor will knock on the door and Joshua has his trike ready to go. Today their was a knock at the door, and I didn't even hear it (I was in the back cleaning). Joshua had his trike at the door, and was yelling at me. I went and realized someone must have knocked and to Joshua's surprise it was not our neighbor but the Jehovah Witness Missionaries. :) They didn't want to ride bikes. :) He has also started to play with Dallin more he will even share his cars with him. I love it! He will bring Dallin his pajamas at night. He really looks out for him sometimes. Other times like today he felt like sitting on him.
Dallin is on the move now! He is scooting across the floor. He will still get up on all fours and rock, but he hasn't done the typical crawl yet. He is doing the army crawl. When I am not looking he will end up under the bed or behind the chair in the living room. He is growing up so fast. I can't believe he is already on the move.

Happy Half Birthday Dallin on January 15

I am a little late on blogging about his half Birthday, but better late then never. Dallin had his six month appointment and is doing great! He is weighing in at close to 19 lbs and about 28 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile in all categories. He is scooting around more, and today for the first time he was scooting forwards. He wasn't going fast but it was forward! He is sitting up lots better. He is also starting to enjoy different kinds of foods. He is growing up so fast! He also has been really loud. He making all kinds of sounds. I think Joshua is his favorite person. Joshua can make him laugh better than anyone. Dallin's face lights up when Joshua pays attention to him. It is so cute! According to Michael, Dallin said his first word yesterday. He said Dad, but like I said he has been making all kinds of sounds. We can let Michael think that Dallin was talking to him :)

Fun on Fridays

We usually get together with the Williamson Family on Mondays and Fridays to play at the park. We usually always try to make it out for a little while, no matter what the weather. The kids need to stretch their legs and I get tired of the house. :)

They are getting really familiar with this park. They love to look at the creek that runs through the park and run all the way up to the street. Carrying Dallin all around the park can be a bit heavy but it is worth for me if Joshua takes a great nap in the afternoon.
I think Afton is really good for Joshua. She is a lot more daring so he learns how to do things from her. It is great! It is so funny to see how they interact and copy each other. They are really cute to watch.
We usually eat lunch afterwards. This time we were at our house. We have a ton of leaves. Who needs a ball pit when we have piles of leaves!
The leaves literally go up that high on Joshua. We moved from 2 ft snow drifts in Idaho to 2 ft deep pile of leaves in Texas. :)

Fun with Family

We had a wonderful time in Nevada. Thank you everyone for all of the gifts and meals. It was so fun to see everyone. Our house seems empty and quiet now. :) We took lots of pictures but I will just highlight some of the things we did.

Aunt Lori made a delicious meal for us. Grandma B made me enchiladas that were so tasty. We had a great time at the Cooney home. We taught everyone how to play the Wii.

We didn't have a stroller so we took a cart from my Dad's store. Dallin actually fell asleep in it at the park. We also got to play in snow! Yeah! We miss snow!

Uncle Bob got a race car for Christmas. Joshua had fun sitting behind the wheel.

Grandpa B took Joshua out in the tractor. He was a little scared at first, but he really loves tractors. He loved the one Grandpa B got him for Christmas. He still asks for it everyone morning!

Joshua enjoyed with park with Grandpa. He got a little wet, but loved the slides there.
Joshua got a bike for Christmas. He loved crashing it into the snow. He loves his new bike and has asked for it in the morning as well!

Aunt Jenny and Joshua before church. They looks so good. Aunt Jenny is now down South. She is interning. We wish her luck.

Quinn and Nallely moved into their new apartment. They sound like they are doing great. Quinn had a Happy Birthday! We wish we could have visited with them too.
