Dallin's Birthday

Dallin's Birthday was this Wednesday! He turned 1 and seems to already be heading towards 2. He is full of life and is walking and falling all around the house. Trixie made a wonderful spaghetti dinner (one of my favorites) and she cooked a non-dairy chocolate cake. It was still good even though it lacked a little moisture. :) Dallin got some new clothes, a pool, a long stuffed Caterpillar, and a toy lawn mower. I can't wait until he can use the real thing and mow the lawn.

First Steps

Dallin will push anything from chairs to tables to help him balance while trying to walk. As in the previous post he now starts to walk a few steps and falls. He has done as much as seven steps, but this video is not that great but demonstrates what he is doing. It is hard to catch on video but here is my effort.

4th of July

Good new we are getting cool air in our house again, which is why I can sit and write. We moved the boys into our room and bought a window unit to survive the week. Now I have my room back! We survived by playing in the pool that Grandpa got for Dallin's birthday, and by eating with at our very very nice friends homes. Thanks all of you who helped us and fed us. We are very grateful! We ended the fourth of July with fireworks, Joshua was so tired and did not want to watch. Dallin loved it. He is striving so hard to walk. He will take two steps sometimes even like seven and fall. He laughs, and then gets up again and repeats the process. He was doing this while we were watching the fireworks. We had the perfect spot we did not have to wait all day in the hot sun, and did not have to fight traffic. :)
We played at the Luker's in the evening. The Williamson's joined us and Michael made root beer to keep his family traditions alive. Joshua and Dallin both were "mowing the lawn." We had a few fireworks there and yummy food. We had a great time. Thanks everyone!

We started the day off at the Nasher with the West family! We had a good time! It was fun to see them again.

Home Repairs

This week has been a bit crazy. Our AC went down on us. We are very lucky however that we still have a home warranty and that it is only high 90s. We are also glad that we installed another fan in our living room. Currently we are waiting for the home warranty people to let the repair people know what they will allow them to do. I hope this process is speedy! In other repairs or rather improvements Joshua and Dallin have bunk beds! Dallin doesn't sleep there, but when bigger he will. Joshua is loving it. Michael did a great job putting them together.

Dallin turns one this month. I can't believe how big he is getting. He is trying to walk. He will pull himself to standing and can take one or two steps and then falls down and laughs at himself. He is so cute. Today we played in the sprinkler and he just sat under it and soaked it all in. (who can blame him when we have no ac :))

Joshua used to sleep next to Dallin on the floor sometimes, but since we got him an actual real bed he has been sleeping in it. I know this picture is a little blurry, but I was trying not to wake him. He is doing a little better with potty training, he will go like four days no accidents and then out of the blue it is like he forgets or doesn't want to go to the bathroom so going on himself sounds fine. Crazy boy! He has been so much more social recently. He has asked to play with friends and talking to strangers. My kids are just getting so big.

No Rest for Dad even on Father's Day

I am lucky to have such a great husband, and he is a great father! He plays with the boys and helps out so much. We love when Michael spends time with us. He is so great! Happy Father's Day also to my Dad and father in law. We love you both and miss you!

Michael even had to make his own breakfast this morning. I had to make two pans of brownies for the fathers of our Church this morning, so he helped with breakfast. I bought good stuff for it, but poor Michael made his own. I would have made them last night, but I had to work on Super Saturday stuff. We have been so busy. I did make dinner for him, and yummy jello.

The boys are doing great, and Joshua has wished Dad a Happy Father's Day. He even made him a tie that Dad wore to Church. Dallin was cranky at Church and Michael had to take him so I could pass out brownies.

On a side note the picture above is a picture of the extra room after the boys got into the games. Michael put up a new fan in our living room with the help of a friend, so the games came out of our closet so he could climb into attic. Michael said he would put them away and forgot. The next thing we know the room looks like the above.

Fun with Friends!

I had a great time this week. My friend Caroline came down for a visit. We tried going to a baseball game, and then it got cancelled due to the rain storm, but that was a fun adventure anyways. We went to go and visit the Hall family. We all hung out in New York. It was great fun.
We went from the above to the below, in four years. It is so great to see how everyone is growing up! I have such great friends!

The Hall Family has a beautiful house. We got to hang out and catch up. It was so good to see everyone. It kind of reminded me, that I do have a life outside my two cute little boys. Poor Michael missed out and had to go to work even though the power was out.

The Hall's have chickens and ducks, Joshua loved their house. They have two ponds and a pool so we went swimming and enjoyed the great outdoors.

Joshua got to cruise around in the golf cart. He loved it. I didn't think I would ever get him to come back home.

Heather and Caroline were cruising around in the Go Cart. We had to spend two days playing at the Hall house. They are so much fun, and I missed them. I am glad they live in Frisco now.

Our First Family Camp Out!

We had a great time camping. It was the first time that we have gone as a family. We went with the Williamson family and had a great time. We had a little trouble getting the little ones to sleep, but other than everything ran quite smooth.
We had our portable cribs to keep the little ones from eating dirt, and even the bigger kids wanted to play in there. We ate great food for dinner and breakfast.

In the morning after games and clean up we went swimming. The kids had a great time and the weather was perfect. The lake had a area separated off just for swimming, so it was great.
