A visit with the Clark Family in San Antonio

We had a great time in San Antonio.  Jessica and Dustin let us stay at there house and eat all of there food.  Thomas let us take over his room.  We had good food and wonderful time.  They gave us a tour of San Antonio.   The pictures don't do justice to the fun we actually had.  I guess we had so much fun we forgot to take pictures.  :)

On Saturday we went to one of the oldest working cathedrals in America.

We also stopped by the Alamo.

Evan slept the whole trip to downtown San Antonio,

The kids reflecting at the Alamo.

I loved the river walk.  It was so pretty.

Dustin works at Sea World.  They let us use their tickets to go in.  We loved it!!  I loved watching the smiles on my kids' faces.

We saw a couple of shows.  My boys loved the Shamu show the best.  We sat in the splash zone, but didn't get splashed.  We were the only people not soaked.  :)

The kids loved the rides.  Dallin didn't enjoy the roller coaster but loved the Rio Grand ride.  Joshua loved all of the rides.  It was so nice for Jessica and Dustin to watch some of my little ones so we could go on the bigger rides.

The kids loved the sharks!

They enjoyed watching the dolphins as well.

Thank you Jessica and Dustin!  We had fun and loved our visit!

First week of July Fun!

My kids got a brand new cousin.  Isn't he adorable!  We are so glad he is at home with Jenny and Tony.  They are going to be wonderful parents!  We also have Grandma here visiting us!  We are loving it!

Grandma came with us to the race on Saturday.  Evan borrowed Leah's hat.  The kids had a good time running and I survived a 10K in July in Texas.  :)

We saw fireworks at a near by park.  This was Leah and Evan's first year watching them.  Joshua enjoyed them this year as well.  Previous years he didn't enjoy the noise.

Grandma got us shirts for the 4th of July.  Leah decided to not dress up in her shirt.  We have been having fun with Grandma here.  She has played Checkers and Life many times.  :)  We have done the bean bag toss as well.  We love spending time with family!

Evan looks pretty cute in his onesie.  He is looking up at Dad and grinning.  He also rolled over both directions on the 4th of July.  He's growing up fast.

Evan 4 Months

Evan is now four months old.  He is 15.7 lbs, and 26.5 inches tall.  He is getting big.  He is an ideal baby.  He goes with the flow.  He loves to coo and laugh.  We took him swimming for the first time.  He did great.  He doesn't have a great nap schedule yet, he likes to take little cat naps.  It seems to work for now, since we are on the go quite a bit.  He does great at night.  We love him, and are excited to watch him grow and learn.

Swimming!

The boys are in swim lessons for the month of June.  They are loving it!  Dallin is working at station 2 and Joshua is working on station 3.

Their instructors have told me how great they are doing and how well they listen.  It just warms my heart when people tell me how great my kids are.  :)

Evan and Leah get to watch.  We walk everyday to the park for swim lessons, and then play a little.  It has been a good transition from school.

Leah tells me everyday how many "ponies" she wants.  Today was three.  One day it was four.  I'm getting creative.

As you can see Leah wasn't too thrilled about missing out with swim lessons.  She even went in the pool area following the boys on the first day.  Oh well, next year she will be old enough to start.  She plays really well on the playground with others, so she has a good time too.

Dadfest 2013

We have a lot of fun at Dadfest.  Poor Michael had to run the day after he got back from scout camp.  He is a trooper.  It rained a few hours before so the weather was perfect.  It was cloudy and cool for June.

The race went well.  I did beat Michael so I felt good about that.  He stayed close to me until the last half mile and he had to walk.  He hasn't been running either, so he did great with no training.  I would have placed if my Birthday was a week later.  30 year old ladies are fast!

The kids ran the 50 yard dash.  Joshua and Dallin want to run the mile next year.

Tony ran and Jenny watched the kids for me.

Michael and the kids took 3rd in the Father/Child look alike contest!  We won FC Dallas tickets!

Tony won the Wii u in a drawing.  Lucky!

My Birthday

It rained on my Birthday, which is nice.  I love rain espeically when it is suppose to be hot.  Leah and Dallin told me that would play outside and not get muddy.  You can see below how well that worked out.

I got a vegetable steamer/rice cooker for my Birthday from Michael.  He made a delicious chocolate cake.  We also ate yummy french dip for dinner.

Friends took me out to eat for lunch on Friday, and Michael took me out that night to eat on Friday!  Nice!

We also went kayaking today for my Birthday.  I know Michael secretly wanted me to pick something like go see a movie, but kayaking is fun!  ;)  I know he enjoyed it too, but he hasn't seen any of the latest movies that are out yet.  The weather was perfect!  Today was perfect.  I woke up fed the kids, and went for an hour run.  I got to run in my new running clothes Jenny got me for my Birthday.  Then we packed up the kids and dropped them off at Aunt Jenny's house.  We then went out on the lake.  It was awesome!  We even saw some turtles.  I couldn't ask for a better day.  When I got home a friend dropped by my birthday present, it was Cadbury Mini Eggs!  Awesome!  It has been a great Birthday!  I have amazing family and friends!!  I am so blessed!

The latest...

Michael went and painted with his co-workers.  He had a great time, and now wants to paint more often.

Dallin and Joshua had a fun primary activity where they were called on a mission. Dallin went to Spain and Joshua went to Uruguay.  It was a fun activity.

Joshua likes to share his art projects with Evan.  Evan likes to move and kick them around.

The kids have been into dress ups lately.  They are cuties!  :)

Evan is now 3 months old.  He is cooing quite a bit.  He still loves to be held and loves to smile and interact with people.  :)  I love the pouty face below.  I think it would just about melt any ones heart.  :)

I ran my first race after having Evan.  It went pretty good, it was my last race in the under 30 age bracket.  I'm getting old.  :)  Next we have Dadfest, where both Michael and I will do a 5K.
