Leah's Birthday and Race Day

We celebrated Leah's Birthday when it was nice and warm outside last weekend.  This weekend it was cloudy and cool.
Leah was into unicorns for her Birthday this year so she got a unicorn pillow pet.

We couldn't blow out candles at the park last week due to the wind, so we did it on her Birthday with brownies.

We also had the 100th day of school.  Joshua had to decorate a cape with a 100 things.  He wanted a 100 storm troopers.  We printed and Joshua cut out 100 storm troopers and arranged them to look like a storm trooper on his cape.

We raced on Saturday.  We had a good run.

Dallin was so happy to beat me by a few seconds at the end.

Leah, Evan, and Rylan doing the kids race.

They had a good time!  I love going to races with my family!

Pinewood Derby and Leah's Party

Joshua participated in his first Pinewood Derby!  He did great!

He won lots of his matches!

Leah and Evan loved watching the cars go down.

All the scouts with their cars!  They are a great group of boys!

We celebrated Leah's Birthday a week early.  It was a beautiful 70 degree day, so we couldn't pass the  day up!  She wanted to play at the park for her Birthday again this year.

Leah wanted a unicorn cake, and this was what Michael and I came up with.
The park was a little windy, but we made it work

Leah loved all of her gifts!

I can't believe Leah will be 5 on Thursday!  Time flies.

Leah is a great girl!  She is kind and loving.  She is helpful.  She loves the color pink and is into unicorns right now.  She is excited about starting school this Fall.  She is starting to read a little, and loves to draw.  She did great on her first test to get into a magnet school.  She has one more on February 8, to see if she qualifies.

STEAM Night

Michael was in Arizona all week.  We had a busy one.

Leah wanted me to have the same hair style as she did.  We were twins for the day.

Evan hung out all week in his undies.  ha ha  We still have about one accident a day.  We are on day 5, so hopefully it will be no accidents soon.

The boys had STEAM night.  I felt like I took two dates to the prom and had to figure out a plan to be two places at once.  Dallin project was building the biggest tower with marshmallow and spaghetti.  We did ok.  I had to build and run over to help Joshua, so I missed out on the rebuilding part.  Sorry Dallin.

Joshua had to make a balloon powered car.  We had a hard time getting our wheels to go straight, but it was fun.  I survived the night.  I had to run Evan and Leah back and forth between the gym and cafeteria.  ha ha  Crazy night.

Yesterday we were asked to speak to the youth of our Church about dating.  Since we had to get a babysitter I figured we may as well eat out.  I got Michael to try Thai food.  It was a cute family owned restaurant.  We also went to Birthday parties and baby showers.  It was a busy week!

Taking it Easy

We haven't done anything too exciting lately.  We have been working on puzzles.

Leah likes to use the fireplace as her stage and do shows for us.

Operation is the game of choice for our kids lately.

Leah comes up with some crazy outfits.  I will usually let her wear them if we aren't going anywhere, but I try to convince her to change if we go somewhere.  We got Leah tested to  see if we can get her in the magnet school.  Our fingers are crossed, but you never know how or if she will answer questions from strangers.  :)

We play lots of Doctor.

The boys were on the honor roll again.  They have been playing on the trampoline and running around.  We have STEAM night and lots of projects to come.

Race Day and Tornado Clean Up

We ran our first 5k of the year.  It was a cold one!

Michael was nice enough to run with the kids in the stroller.

Joshua sprinting in.

The whole race crew.  We all hope to improve our times throughout the year!

Dallin sprinting in!

Jenny running in!
Leah sprinting in during the 1K

The day after Christmas a tornado hit our city and a neighboring city.  Our community has been great with coming together to help each other out.  My house was 4 miles away, so we were fine.  My sister's house was a block away from the tornado, but their house was fine.

It is crazy to see the destruction and realize how much we are not in control.

It is great to see so many churches and organizations working together to help clean up.  Michael went this weekend to clean up.  I stayed home to watch the kids, since it is too dangerous for kids to around.  We will help gather school uniforms and what not for the kids who have to start school with nothing.  It does make me proud to see the community helping each other out.  We do live in a great place.

Merry Christmas!

My Mom came down for Christmas.  We had a great one!

All set up for Christmas.  Michael likes to stage for the presents just sos for Christmas.

Grandma got lots of baby time.

Christmas was nice and warm so we played in our backyard at the creek.

Unwrapping presents is fun!

Dancing with Just Dance.  :)

Hungry hippo game can be intense.

We had a great visit with friends!  We miss them!

Lots of book time!

We don't have snow for sledding so cardboard and grass will do.

We also love to roll down hills.

Rylan just choose to go down head first with Grandma's help.

Michael finally got to use our fire place.  He is really enjoying it.

We had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends!  We love celebrating the Birth of our Savior!
