First Week of Summer Break

We had a really busy first week.

We did find some time for an ice cream break.

I turned a year older.  Work friends got me flowers and cake.

I got many texts from family and friends for my Birthday.  I felt so loved.

Michael made me a delicious Blackout Chocolate cake that evening.

I even got a few gifts!

The boys have been fishing in our creek this summer.  Joshua started his accelerated math class for the next three weeks.  He was invited to do Algebra I.  He is liking it so far.

Dallin and Leah had Vex robotics camp in the mornings. They really enjoyed it.

This was Leah's first time and she did a great job.

Dallin has moved up to Middle School Robotics.  He enjoyed using the metal pieces and starting to code more.

Evan did the Bass Pro Shop fishing.

He had a great time with his  cousins.

Dallin did Twilight camp in the evening so I was all over the place this week, but two camps down and on to swim lessons.

Schools out!

Last day of school!  

Leah got Gold honor roll!

Evan got Math Mastermind!

He is so ready for first grade.  

Dallin got his Arrow of Light.  We are so proud of his work!

Dallin's 5th grade promotion ceremony.  

He got the Presidential academic award.

He also got recognized for robotics, Top Cat, and Silver Honor roll.

Joshua made the robotics team and made Honor band next year.  He is doing great on the trombone.  He loves it.  

We camped this past weekend.

We had a great time with friends!

The kid played all kinds of games.

We went swimming the next day and drove home.  

Memorial Day Weekend

We headed out swimming on Saturday.

Sunday we hung out with old friends.

It was great to get together again.  The kids had a great time.

Monday we grilled and played in backyard pool.

The food was delicious

Love spending time with all of them!

Wet weekend

Evan was an elephant in the save the animals parade at school.  He did a great job!

Michael and I went out with friends to eat and see Jim Gaffigan. 

It was a great evening out.

Saturday it was supposed to rain so I took the kids to the park early to get some energy out.

Dallin had fun at a Ninja warrior kids place as well.

Rain came heavy and fast.  Water was well within banks at 2:45 by 3:30 it was like this.  It was crazy.

Our house was spared and within another 40 minutes all the water was gone.

Sunday we enjoyed no rain and board games.

Field Trip and Mother's Day

Aaron got to go to the fire house.

They all had a great time learning about firefighters.

They loved the rescue boat.

I did muffins with Mom with Evan.  

They sang songs and poems for us.  It was so sweet.

I had a great Mother's day.  Michael made breakfast.  The kids spoiled me with presents.

Michael made me a cheesecake.  It was delicious.

I got flowers dropped off as well.  So pretty.  We all ate a delicious dinner together.

Track and friends

We just finished up our track club season.  The kids did great. Evan is very good at the mid distance like the 800.  He enjoys soccer more than track  but it was fun to try out new things.

Leah did a great job.  She really improved her times through out the season.

Dallin is very fast and he learned more about when to accelerate and when to take it easier.

Joshua is very good at pacing himself.  He is very good at the longer distances.

Aaron always pulls out our other lawn mower when we are mowing the lawn.  He wants to mow so bad.  He hauls it up and down the grass behind whoever is mowing.  I just wish I could bottle up the enthusiasm and sprinkle it throughout the upcoming years.

I was playing with Aaron on the hammock to keep him from ruining a game of basketball.  It is so fun to see the boys play and hangout together.
