Still at home

The Coronavirus is still going strong here, so we are still at home.  We can leave for the store or for outdoor exercise with people we live with as long as we stay 6ft away.  Michael is an essential worker so he is still going in to work.  I get to stay home and help kids with school work and get my work done as well.  It is super busy trying to home school 5 kids.  Evenings and weekends are nice to not have to go anywhere but day time is busy!  We are grateful to be healthy and still getting a paycheck when so many others are not.  We are fasting again this week to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

Meanwhile our weekend looked like this.  Camping in the backyard.

The kids loved it.  They watched movies and ate popcorn.  Storm came in the morning after everyone was inside the house so it worked out great.

Leah has been practicing doing hair on me.  She has really been working on her french braiding lately, although she didn't take a picture of that.

Michael took out his legos castles. He is having the boys put them together.  They already have a few put together already.  This was no easy task as they were all mixed in together and directions are looking a little rough.

Staying at home

We had St Patrick's Day at home.  The kids are home for the foreseeable future.  I have had them do assignments including PE. It has kept me so busy schooling five kids at home. It is fun and crazy time.

Dallin, Joshua, and Araon made us some delicious brownies for us to enjoy.

They were some tough times this week, but some sweet moments as well.   I love these kids of mine.

The kids have been a little stir crazy with all the rain we have been having. We will get this new way of life figured out and it will change again.  lol

Leah had to make a landslide, volcano, or earthquake for a science project.  We decided to do a landslide out of cake.  It was fun!

We are grateful for our health and pray for the world everyday that we can get through this difficult Cornoavirus time together.

Sea Quest

We headed out one more time when it looked like we would have to hunker down for ahwile during this virus.

We got to pet these guys.

We had fun with the sharks.

It was nice to get out as it had been raining quite a bit.

We had a great time!

I ran 14 miles last Saturday.  It was fun and I am proud of how far I have come.  My race was postponed but I may just try and run it at race pace anyway.

Other February happenings

We went to Evan's music program.
It was so cute.  He did a great job!

We made a Valentine's box.  We had fun with it.

We had a little Valentine's day party with the little ones.

They had a great time.

Michael and I went on tennis date for Valentine's day. We had a great time!

Now that we are caught up.  We are excited for March.  We start Spring break!

I got a tulip to bloom.  I have a hard time getting plants to bloom and live.  We will enjoy it while it lasts.

I have been running early in the mornings.  I have a race coming up in April I am prepping for.

I love the quiet and to be alone with my thoughts on a long easy run.  The scenery isn't too bad either.

Evan's Birthday

I am in charge of Primary Activities for church.  We made freezer meals for someone who just had a baby.  It has been a new challenge for me to come up with ideas.  :)

Evan turned 7!  He wanted a volcano cake.

He is so fun and loving.  He got a fish tank for his Birthday.  He loves it.  Michael and Evan bond over taking care of their fish tanks.  Evan is such a little Michael to me.

Evan's other request was to play at the rocketship park.  We had a great time with family.

It turned out to be 70 degrees and windy.  It is so great to have so much family around.

Kira had her baby blessed on Sunday.  There is just so much joy in having so much family at church at the same time.  I loved it!

Happy Birthday Leah!

We celebrated Leah's Birthday this week.  She wanted a poop emoji cake.  I guess it is ok if my cake looks like poop.  lol

She requested a spaghetti dinner.  She went to the dance with her Dad and brought treats to school to share with her classmates.
She is such a delight.  She is so kind a loving.  She loves to craft.  Lately she has been running with her Aunt and really enjoying it.  Leah is gearing up for soccer season as well.  She loves to turn cartwheels and is working on her back bends.

We played at the park this week a couple of times.  We enjoy getting out in the sunshine.

Joshua had  robotics competition and I did the Hot Chocolate race.  It was a fun race with yummy chocolate as a reward.  14000 runners at the race, which is crazy.  I placed 18 out of 865 in my age group so not too bad and had a great time with my sister and friends.

Dentist and Dance

The procedure I have been dreading for over a year came.  Aaron got his teeth taken out.  He did great.  I loved how the dentist allowed me to wait until he could sit through the procedure rather than going to the hospital.  If he wouldn't have fallen and fractured a tooth we could have put it off a little longer.

Leah says he is like Fudge now.  Fudge is character from a book.  He recovered quickly and was asking to eat shortly after the procedure.

Michael and Leah went to the father daughter dance.  They had a great time!  Leah loves the dance and asks to go every year for her Birthday.  They get their picture taken, eat dinner, and dance.

My older boys went to a church function where they were taught about dancing.  I had to sneak a picture from far away or the boys would stop dancing.  lol  I was never a huge fan of these types of events as a kid.  Michael loved them.  It is fun to watch them grow and figure things out.

The boys spent their Christmas money from Grandma and Grandpa West on models.  They have been having a great time building them.
