Spoiled!

Our baby girl is not even here yet, and she is being spoiled! We are so blessed. The Ward gave me a baby shower yesterday. It was so nice. I feel so loved. I appreciate all of the yummy food, and wonderful gifts. I had a great time!

Don't mind how bad I look I had a really rough night the night before. I think I got a stomach virus that has been going around. I was a little tired during the shower. Let me just say if she was ready to come out I think she would have after that awful night of sickness. :)

My playgroup also gave me a baby shower which was so fun too! I got so many cute gifts, my baby girl will have to change clothes frequently. :) I have the best friends! I am actually moved to tears with the generosity of my friends. We are truely blessed!

Firetruck

We have had some cold days, so we have been indoors a little more than usual. The boys have been playing fireman a lot. I thought I would share a few pictures. Sometimes I feel like we are the only people who go outside when it is cold. We go on walks and to the playground in the afternoon. We just can't stay cooped up. The boys are doing great!

Countdown is on!

Well, we are getting down to the final weeks of welcoming our little girl! I am looking a little large, but still feeling really good. :) We are very excited. Michael decided over Christmas break that the bedroom we are going to put her in needed to be painted. After he painted it. I decided to just use what we have to decorate it, and found I hardly have anything girly in there at all. :)

We had to get a new crib due to our crib being recalled. It worked out great! We took back our old one and got a replacement one. It took me a little longer than it should have to put it together. I have never really had the "nesting" instinct before but I have it now. I have organized almost every closet in the house. I have cleaned and moved furniture in almost every room. It is nice to have this energy to get stuff done, because I know it will not last. :)

We have been so blessed every time we have a baby. I have received clothes and wonderful gifts from my friends and family. It is so nice knowing how much support we have! Many of my friends have watched my boys during my appointments. I am so blessed with wonderful family and friends! Thank you for all you do, we feel so loved and well cared for.

Snow!

We got our first snow of the season! We love snow! The boys were so excited. They were happy to put on the gloves and hats and go outside. Joshua kept asking over and over again if there was enough to build a snowman, have a snowball fight, or go sledding. We did accomplish two out of the three. The snowman is tiny, but it works.

Joshua loved wearing his hat so much that he wouldn't take it off and went to bed with it on. It was pretty cute. We have been playing outside a lot lately. We did a lot of T-ball, played on the swings, went to the zoo, and took lots of walks. We had super nice 65 degree weather before this. We just love playing outside no matter what the weather.

Staycation

Michael has had the week off, so we have been having fun. We put together the swing set. The boys are loving it. It rained here so it is really muddy, which is why I have cardboard down right now. :)
The boys have been playing in the backyard for hours. The swing and teeter totter are their favorites right now.
I was actually surprised at how much they love the teeter totter. They love to go up and down!
Joshua loves to swing on his belly.
The boys have found a love for painting recently. It is fun to watch them make their creations. I am not very artistic so I hope they get some of Michael's talents. We have really enjoyed having Michael home this week. I think the boys will have a hard time with him being gone. They love doing everything with Dad. We had a great New Years party. We had dinner and friends over, and had a great time! On New Years day we played Wii games, Settlers, and Dominoes. It was fun. The first Settlers game Jenny and I held Michael to only three points, I don't think I have seen him so upset over a game before. :) We have a great week, but now we must get back to work. We hope you all have a great year!

Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas! We woke up, opened stockings, and then ate our yummy Breakfast Casserole. After breakfast we skyped with Grandma and Grandpa Rasmussen and opened presents. We were very blessed!!!

The boys got trains hats and trains. They are pretty cute!! We are so blessed and love everything that we got! I will just go through a few, but we really loved it all!
The boys got two wonderful "cities" to drive their cars on. I love it! They also got this parking garage that we put next to the city for hours of entertainment.
Joshua and Dallin wanted the CAT machines, so we had to listen to them all day. I did mute them by the evening. :) I am grateful for the mute button. They also got some Lego trucks which work great with their machines!
The Cooney's got us these great blocks. Michael set them up so the boys could wake up to his creation. They love them.

Michael got Netflix. He is pretty excited about it. We have already watched movies and lots of National Geographic shows. I have a new mixer which will be great for baking, and also we get to try an ebelskiver. We should have plenty to do for the New Year! We missed our extended family, but all of you were in our thoughts!!!! We love and miss you!!!

Nieghborhood Christmas Party!

We had the neighborhood Christmas party yesterday. The boys got to see Santa, but even more exciting for Joshua was the firemen. They were so nice to him. They answered all his questions and let him sit in the cab. They opened everything up in the truck for him to see. I think it helped that the fireman had two sons at home, but he was so great listening to Joshua. Joshua was telling him how he had firetrucks at home and a fire hat. It was so cute, how my normally shy boy was not shy at all when it came to firemen.
Dallin wouldn't go near Santa, so I had stand there with him. We had to stand by the firetruck, they did not want to take one at the intended spot on the couch near the Christmas tree. My boys are so silly.
I mentioned in the post below we got Joshua a construction kit. He loves to build things. He built this yesterday with Michael. It is fake wood and plastic nails, but he enjoyed every minute of it.
My boys hard a work sawing away at the fake wood. Joshua loves to fix and build things. When he wakes up morning he will tell me sometimes that he had good dream about fixing and building. :)
