West Family Gathering Photo Bomb Duck, NC

We had a 24 hour drive to Duck, North Carolina.  The kids did well for the most part.  Leah got a little car sick going through the mountains.  All in all we made it in one piece.

There was a fun indoor pool that we all got to play in.  The above picture we are on our way to the Club house to play.

We played at the beach just about every day.

Everyone all cozy on the couch.  Almost everyone who was in the house at the time is in this photo except Joshua.  I love it.

Leah was getting over a cold and did not enjoy the beach at all.  She was cranky most of the time.  Poor Girl!

Joshua and Sarah building a castle

Playing in the ocean.  It was a little cold.  :)  Dallin actually fell in all the way.  Poor kid!  He was distracted by dogs and didn't notice the wave coming in.

Playing on the dock near in the Sound.

Susie and Leah playing at the playground.  They look so much alike!

Boys playing at the playground

Kira and Jason drove down to play with us for a day.  We had a lots of fun.

The boys loved having the waves chase them onto the shore

My cute boy!

My other cute boy!

Dallin is running away from the wave.

My kids loved playing in the sand.  Michael and I also went kayaking.  I have no pictures of that since we went by ourselves, but it was fun!

I just needed proof that I saw Max and Emily.  :)

Car ride home wasn't bad at all.  No one throwing up!  :)  Thank you Aunt Jennifer for the dolls.  Leah loves them and it entertained her on the way home.

Dallin hanging out on the way home.

We had wonderful time.  It was worth the long drive!  All of the cousins were so nice to my boys!  My boys are a little younger so I wasn't sure how they would fit in.  It all worked out great!  We loved seeing everyone and wish we could spend more time.  The food was delicious!  Thank you everyone who made it possible!!

Half Marathon!

Okay so I am going to have a little brag post.  :)  I ran my first half marathon on Saturday.  These are the lovely ladies who ran with me.  We all did really well on a really tough course.  We were either running up hill or down hill.  I am not sure why it looks like I have a huge love handle on my right side in the above picture, but no worries I am not lopsided like that.  :)

Jenny, Elise and I all managed to place.  I don't care how old you are it feels good to win a medal!  It was a smaller race with not very many sponsers so it was fun not to have to fight crowds.

Elise did awesome.  It is so fun to have people to run with.  I couldn't have accomplished this goal without all of this support.  Michael was wonderful to take the kids for the morning and every other time I run.

Tony was grea to come and support us.  He took good care of all of us.  Thanks you Tony!

The weather was cool in the morning and warmed up to 80 fast.

Avengers Assemble!

Happy Halloween!
We went to a Halloween party on Friday. We had a great time.

We are dressed up as the Avengers.  I am making an attempt to be the Black Widow.  Leah is The Wasp.  Dallin is Iron Man, Joshua is Captain America, and Michael is Bruce Banner aka the Hulk after he is has shrunk back down.  It is hard to see in this photo but he has ripped up shorts and shirt.
I assume many of you haven't seen the Avengers cartoon as many times as I have so I added a picture of who we are supposed to look like.  ;)

I love how the boys look in this picture.

My cute little Avengers!  I should have taken more pictures but my battery was dying.  The kids were playing avengers and runnng around outside.  They had Buzz Lightyear, Mickey Mouse, Batman, and Superman in their Avenger club.  ;)

Pumpkin Patch and Carving Pumpkins

Some of you may have seen similar pictures on Jessica's blog, but I wanted to share ours too.  We had a blast at the pumpkin patch.  I feel guilty we had fun without Joshua, but he got to have fun carving pumpkins later.  We went with Jessica, Dustin, and Thomas.

Dallin and Leah loved playing in the hay.  They could have spent most of the time rolling in the hay.

The kids, Dustin, and Michael had fun rolling down the grassy hills and running around.  It was such a beautful day.

We had dinner and carved our pumpkins after that. Jenny and Tony came over to carve pumpkins too.   I loved how everyone's pumpkins turned out.  We had a good time.  It is so nice to have family around.

Camping and Tooth

We went camping this last weekend.  The boys had a blast.  Leah had a little trouble going to sleep, but all in all  I would call it a success.  Joshua and Rayna here are playing crossing gaurd.  Joshua loves the crossing gaurds at school.  Michael took pictures this camping trip, so it is interesting to me to see what moments he captured compared to me.  :)

We had lots of yummy food at the campout.  Everyone was so willing to share.  It was a lot of fun!

Afton, loves bugs.  Can you see the bug in her hair?  They were crawling on our van and she was excited and wanted to pick them up.

We have been waiting for Joshua to lose his bottom front teeth for a while now.  He has been avoiding them.  The campout was enough of a distraction that it fell out.  We have no idea where the tooth is, but it is gone.  He has one more ready to fall out.  I can't believe he is old enough to lose teeth.

Flex Fridays

I love that Michael has every other Friday off.  We love spending time with him and doing fun things on those days.  Saturdays just seem to fill up with so much other stuff, that it doesn't really seem like a fun day off.  Friday I feel like we get Michael to ourselves.  :)  We headed to the zoo last flex Friday.  We had a good time.  The weather was perfect and the zoo wasn't crowded at all.

Dallin is so goofey.  He thinks it is fun to make faces at the camera.  It is so fun to see grow.  He is so sweet.  He will help Leah with everything she needs without even being asked.  He will take off her shoes and socks when they come in from outside.  He will push her in the swing.  She is pretty lucky to have Dallin as her brother.  :)

Leah is growing and learning as well.  She is a little dare devil so I have to keep an eye on her. She wanted to walk through the whole zoo this time.  She doesn't like to get too close to the animals.  She likes to see them, but not too close or she gets scared.

The only thing missing from our flex Friday fun is Joshua.  I always feel so bad that we are going and doing fun things while he is at school.  We do miss him while he is at school, but Michael will pick him up from school.  He loves when Dad picks him up, because Dad is more fun than Mom.  :)  Joshua is doing well in school.  I had parent teacher conference yesterday.  Joshua's teacher just thanked me for doing her job, and I was on my way.

Adding one more!

We are adding one more to our family.  This one came as a little surprise   I knew I wanted another it just came a little earlier then expected.  I have been slow to tell, so don't feel bad if you didn't know.  I am feeling really good and staying very active.  We just found out today that we are going to have another little boy.  I was totally thinking that it would be a girl.  ha ha  We are excited for his arrival at the end of February.
