Band and Evan's Birthday!

Joshua had another band concert.  They have such a huge band.  It blows my mind.  ha ha

They did great job!

Evan asked for a football helmet cake.  He was so excited to turn 6.

He and Aaron opened up his presents.  He is such a good big brother.  He is kind, smart, funny, and we love having him in our family.

We cleaned the church on Saturday morning and kids were having a great time playing in the gym afterwards.

We then took Evan and family fishing.  He loves to fish.  He always asks to go.  He goes fishing in the creek in our back yard and catches a few.  For his Birthday we took him and his cousins to a bigger pond that was just stocked.  We didn't have any luck and it was cold.  He had a good time anyway.

We had everyone over for lunch and cupcakes.

We had a great Saturday with family!

Hats off to America and Pinewood Derby

Leah performed in the 2nd grade play.  She was a Yankee dancer.  She did a great job!  She loved dancing on stage.  We weren't allowed to take pictures during the event.  She worked really hard on her moves.

The boys did well at the Pinewood Derby.

Evan and Leah made cars for fun.  One scout came without a car so Evan let him race his car that he made.  The boy ended up taking first place with Evan's car.  Evan was on top of the world.

Dallin ended up in the 3rd place.  The top for cars were so tight anyone of them could have one it.  The boys had a great time.  Leah's car was really fast as well.  It didn't race officially but I don't think it lost.

Bikes, music, and aquarium

We have had some days with great weather followed by really cold weather so we try and take advantage when we can.

Evan had his music program.  He was dressed just like Michael so I had to take a picture.

This is just a little snippet of the really cute program.  I love the school my kids go to!

The Valentine's boxes Leah and Evan created were fun.  Dallin's class just decorated a sack. Joshua didn't get a party due to middle school not having them anymore.  ha ha

Leah has a biography project.  Can you guess who she picked?

Leah normally goes to a Dad and Daughter dance for her Birthday but this year I was out of town. Michael took her to the aquarium instead.  She picked a couple of cousins to go with her.

They had a good time.

It is so fun how she gets along so well with her cousins.

They always have a blast together.

Birthday, Baptisms, Field trips, and Robotics

My version of Harry Potter cake.  lol

We had family over for cake and spaghetti.

She opened up some great presents.  Leah is so amazing, loving and kind.  We are so glad she is a member of our family.

Joshua did baptisms for the dead for the first time. Michael was able to be there with him.  We even had family name for him to do.
Evan went to Legoland for his field trip.  He had a great time.

They also had a fashion show for the 100th day of school where they decorated shirts with 100 things.  He picked dinosaurs.  He is a great counter. He counted to 100 for me by 1s,5s, and 10s.

Leah was baptized.  We are so excited that she made this choice.

My crazy family can't take a normal picture.

We had lots of family come.  We are missing a few family members.  Uncle David and his family came a little late, and Adam's wife and sons fell asleep in car.  lol  Adam and his wife got to our house early in the morning so they could go to the temple.  We watched their kids.  My Evan and Leah loved playing with their cousins.   We are so glad Leah is so loved and has a huge crew of support behind her.  We are so grateful for everyone who loves and supports her.

Dallin finished up his robotics competition this season.  He had a good time and did a great job.

Grandma B's Funeral

We took off last Friday morning had the funeral Saturday and flew back Sunday.  This was the first time in like 10 years all of us were together under one roof.  It was very special.

Quinn was a pall bearer.  Jenny said opening prayer and Kira did closing prayer.

I gave the spiritual message and Suzanne gave the eulogy.

It was a sad but a joyous occasion.

My Grandma's grandchildren.  I love my cousins!

My grandpa, mom and aunts.

It was a beautiful funeral and I was so grateful I could be there.

My Grandma

Aaron and I had to wait for Joshua to get out of scouts on Saturday.
We went up and own the stairs several times.

He also pretended he was a dog.  He crawling and barking.  I got a few looks. ha ha  Dallin and Evan attended Birthday parties.  Leah tagged along with Evan.

My Grandma passed away on Friday.  I am not good with feelings and emotions, especially expressing them.  I can't express what she means to me.  She will be missed.

She was beautiful and so much fun to be around.

She wasn't afraid to say what she thought.

She raised my Mom and Aunts who are all amazing.

I know she is at peace now, and her body is healed, but selfishly I wish I could have more time.  She was a wonderful Grandma and a great example to me.

Around the house fun!

We've been hanging around the house lately.  I have pleurisy after my Christmas illness so I haven't been able to run or do too much physically, which stinks.

I hosted Joy School this week.

We had fun with blocks and bears.  Aaron loves having friends over.

Michael finished up my pretty new table

I love it.  He did such a great job and it fits so many people.

On Saturday Dallin had robotics.  He ended up taking 6th.  He did a great job.  I don't have pictures because I stayed home with the little ones.  Robotics tournaments are from like 7:30 am to 4pm.  It is just too long for Aaron.  I kept Evan and Leah busy digging for dinosaur bones.

It took them four hours to uncover all of the bones in the rock like clay and put it together.  It made a huge mess, which I wasn't expecting.  lol  They loved it and had a great time working together.
