No Rest for Dad even on Father's Day

I am lucky to have such a great husband, and he is a great father! He plays with the boys and helps out so much. We love when Michael spends time with us. He is so great! Happy Father's Day also to my Dad and father in law. We love you both and miss you!

Michael even had to make his own breakfast this morning. I had to make two pans of brownies for the fathers of our Church this morning, so he helped with breakfast. I bought good stuff for it, but poor Michael made his own. I would have made them last night, but I had to work on Super Saturday stuff. We have been so busy. I did make dinner for him, and yummy jello.

The boys are doing great, and Joshua has wished Dad a Happy Father's Day. He even made him a tie that Dad wore to Church. Dallin was cranky at Church and Michael had to take him so I could pass out brownies.

On a side note the picture above is a picture of the extra room after the boys got into the games. Michael put up a new fan in our living room with the help of a friend, so the games came out of our closet so he could climb into attic. Michael said he would put them away and forgot. The next thing we know the room looks like the above.

Fun with Friends!

I had a great time this week. My friend Caroline came down for a visit. We tried going to a baseball game, and then it got cancelled due to the rain storm, but that was a fun adventure anyways. We went to go and visit the Hall family. We all hung out in New York. It was great fun.
We went from the above to the below, in four years. It is so great to see how everyone is growing up! I have such great friends!

The Hall Family has a beautiful house. We got to hang out and catch up. It was so good to see everyone. It kind of reminded me, that I do have a life outside my two cute little boys. Poor Michael missed out and had to go to work even though the power was out.

The Hall's have chickens and ducks, Joshua loved their house. They have two ponds and a pool so we went swimming and enjoyed the great outdoors.

Joshua got to cruise around in the golf cart. He loved it. I didn't think I would ever get him to come back home.

Heather and Caroline were cruising around in the Go Cart. We had to spend two days playing at the Hall house. They are so much fun, and I missed them. I am glad they live in Frisco now.

Our First Family Camp Out!

We had a great time camping. It was the first time that we have gone as a family. We went with the Williamson family and had a great time. We had a little trouble getting the little ones to sleep, but other than everything ran quite smooth.
We had our portable cribs to keep the little ones from eating dirt, and even the bigger kids wanted to play in there. We ate great food for dinner and breakfast.

In the morning after games and clean up we went swimming. The kids had a great time and the weather was perfect. The lake had a area separated off just for swimming, so it was great.

The Zoo, a Barbecue, and a nasty story of Poo

We had a great weekend. On Saturday Michael went paint balling with friends. He came back very sore, but had a great time. Monday we went to the zoo and a barbecue with friends. I know I post a lot of zoo pictures but we have a membership so that is what we do. The zoo was fun, but I would warn anyone who rides the monorail at the Dallas Zoo that cart number nine is where Joshua decided to pee. I wiped it up with wipes and it dried very fast. I was so embarrassed, luckily we were with friends who are also potty training a child, so they were understanding.

The gorilla came up so close to us that Joshua felt the need to back up, we enjoyed spending time looking at all of the animals.

We spent some time at the Children's Zoo and the kids played in the creek. Joshua and Dallin had so much fun. Dallin didn't even care that he was being walked on by bigger kids. :)
My boys are growing up so fast, in this picture I think they almost look the same size.
At the barbecue we were with the same friends as last year, and it just struck me how big they are all getting, and how much more they can do. Joshua was just barely walking last year. The food was delicious, and we had a great time Thanks to the Lukers and Gerstners!
As a side note, this morning was so nasty. Dallin was eating breakfast in the high chair. He started to grunt and I knew that he was pooping. He had a little bit left to eat so I figured that I would grab myself a bite to eat and then change him as soon as he was done. I grabbed my food, turned around, and saw that Dallin had poop all around his mouth. I was horrified. I screamed at Michael. Michael threw him in the tub, and I cleaned up the high chair. I bleached everything and scrubbed the chair so well. I guess Dallin must have been sitting just right because the diaper hardly had any poop in it. Needless to say I wasn't hungry anymore.

May is Here and Almost Gone

I got the messages that I needed to update my blog. :) I just have not had too much time to be on the computer. We had fun at the zoo two weekends ago, which is where the pictures above are from. I played hooky from a Church meeting and hung out with my family and our friends. We had a blast! Michael did a great job with Mother's Day, he made a delicious breakfast and dinner.

My patience have been tested this past week. I really need to work on my patience. This week is looking a little better. I am not sure if it is because I am in a better mood, or if Dallin is in a slightly better mood. I think Dallin may be teething so he has been very much attached to me. He also had a fever last week, but it was very low grade and went away over night.

The boys have been fighting a lot. Dallin is quite the antagonist. He will steal Lightning McQueen from all of Joshua's cars and crawl away as fast as he can. He does this several times. He will also take the binky out of Joshua's mouth right after nap time and take off with even though he already has one in his mouth. Joshua on the other hand is not so innocent either, he always seems to want to play with whatever toy Dallin or any other child at our house has, and feels it is his right to take it away. We are working on taking turns and sharing. I hope it will catch on soon. Joshua is doing ok with potty training. We still average about 1 accident every two days. I just wish he wanted it more. I still have to encourage him so much. Oh well, at least we are using less diapers now. Dallin is starting to stand a little on his own, and is walking behind the Tonka truck. They are both doing so great!

Below is a video of my boys actually getting along and this is what I would like to remember so that is why I posted it. The boys like to play in the window because they feel like they are outside. :)

Potty Training Break Through

Yesterday Joshua finally went #1 in the toilet several times. It actually gave me hope and encouragement to keep going, not that I was going to give up, but my heart wasn't into it. Today we went to the library, Walmart, and Sam's Club and he has not had one "accident." It has been amazing. I would like to say I have no messes to clean up, but that is not the case, Joshua needs to work on his aim. :) When we went out I kept him in his underwear and put a pull up over the top and both were dry. I didn't want to have to deal with anything so early in the potty training stage. Yeah! Joshua! I am not saying we are close to being done because this could just be a really good day, but it is enough to keep me excited that it will happen soon. :)

On the Phone

I thought this was so cute, that I have to post. It may be only cute to me, but I think Grandma may enjoy it. Joshua was talking to Grandma and Grandpa on the phone for a long time. He was walking around with it and reading a book to them. I turned on the speaker so I could hear, and tried to get a video of it. The video is not great but you will get the general idea. My kids are growing up fast. :)
