Last night my kids cracked me up

I like to listen to the news as I clean up the kitchen and dining room after dinner. I wasn't quite done, and was too busy to change the channel or turn it off and Wheel of Fortune came on. My boys loved it! They were yelling at the contestants to pick different letters. They were sad when the letters the contestants picked were wrong, or when the contestant wouldn't pick the letter they had yelled out. They would also clap and cheer. It was very entertaining for me to watch them.

The other thing that cracked me up was when I took Joshua out of the tub. He starts singing this song. I am not sure what he is singing at first. After I listen closely I realize he is singing in Spanish! He is singing Buenos Dias, Buenos Dias, Bueno frog, Bueno gato, and the rest I couldn't quite make out. It was so funny. I asked him where he learned the song and he replied, the tub. Dallin enjoyed Joshua song so much that when I put them both to bed, I got to listen to Buenos Dias, Buenos Dias, for a while. :) I am with Joshua more times than not and I am not sure where this comes from, which is why it is so funny to me.

Buzzed

My boys all just got their hair buzzed. Dad did it all. I just think that they all look similar with their hair like that.
We are doing great here. We are keeping busy. Joshua said something funny the other day, we went swimming at Jenny's place and I overheard him telling Jenny that Dad couldn't come because he has to work and make money for Mom. Silly boy. Dallin is doing good as well, he is being two. He is great in the nursery. He is one of the few who doesn't cry.

Dallin is 2!

We had a good time for Dallin's second Birthday. On his Birthday we went and ate out with Aunt Jenny and opened up gifts. Grandma and Grandpa on both sides spoiled Dallin. :) He did very well. Some family friends also brought some wonderful gifts. Michael and I got him this slip n slide. The kids didn't really slide like they should but had a blast playing in the water.
Dallin received some really fun gifts. The boys had to wake up extremely early to play with them as well. Usually when I wake up in the morning, I hear "cereal!" On the morning after his Birthday they were just out playing.

I made the brownies early on Friday and had Michael decorate the "cake" I think it turned out great. It was delicious. I took Joshua's to a friends house and Dallin to his well check so Michael could finish up. Dallin's stats are looking good his 35 1/2 in and 28 lbs. He cried the whole time there was a doctor or nurse around, but we survived. He had to get blood drawn and did the best for that. He still cried, but the guy drawing blood was super good with him.
Dallin is doing great. He is such a joy in our lives. Joshua is so proud of his brother. In Walmart on his Birthday he told every that Dallin was the Birthday boy. It was cute.

Scout Camp 2010

Michael just got called as Young Men's presdient. The day after he was called he shipped out to Boys Scout Camp. Nothing like learning on the job! I did not envy them in their tents with no AC. They all survived with minor heat rash, sunburns, and bug bites. Not too bad, for first time leaders :)
Michael was running around a lot making sure people were where they were supposed to be, but did have some time to have a little fun too! He is really nervous about being the president, he feels a lot of weight on his shoulders but we know he will be great!
The boys and I stayed home. The boys missed Dad, but we kept them busy by visiting friends and having friends visiting us. We even went to see baby kittens that were only four days old. Joshua enjoyed holding the cats, and Dallin wanted too, but when one kitten was placed in his hand he would give it back. I am guessing it was their little claws that bothered him.
We are glad to have Dad back, and have my camera back so I take pictures of my boys now. :)

Independence Day

We had a good time on Saturday celebrating Independence Day. Michael made ribs and potatoes and we had Jenny and some friend over for dinner and a little fireworks. Not real fireworks just the kind you can pull the string and confetti comes out, and the pop its.

We had a good time and everyone tried them. Joshua and Rayna were not a fan of the noise so they hung out mostly inside. In rained much of the evening so we waited until in subsided. The kids also got in their suits and played in the rain. They had a good time.

Dallin really enjoyed the fireworks. He loved that we actually let him throw something.
We are so grateful for our Country and freedoms. We love our friends and glad Aunt Jenny could eat with us. On Sunday Michael was called to be Young Men's president. He is a little nervous, but headed our for camp today. We are going to miss him, but we know he will do great.

Clownfish

Joshua finished his first swim lessons. He did great he passed every area today except for one. We need to practice forward and backward glide unassisted with a kick, and he will be ready for the next class. :) He loved his teacher Ms. Robyn, she was great with him!
Ms. Robyn takes really good care of Joshua. He was really unsure but now he just chats with them and is brave enough to try new things. I loved to watch his trust grow with Ms. Robyn. It was also fun to see them play games and sing songs.

They even go to go to the deep end. In the deep end they get life jackets and practice safety. He was supposed to jump in, but needed a little help. :)
I am so proud of Joshua he is growing up so fast. He is such a little help around the house. I love to watch him learn and play. He is such an awesome little boy! Another big accomplishment is now he is diaper free completely. He has been potty trained during the day for over a year, but we still gave him a diaper at night. This week only underwear and he has done great!
